User enablement is the key for success in SAP S/4HANA® Cloud. A new guide outlines the most important elements of the cloud user enablement framework.



Whether a person acts in the end-user role or in one of the various key user roles, all users have the same enablement needs in the cloud world:

Quick onboarding: Users are looking for fast onboarding. They don’t want to read through reams of instructions or to attend classroom training before working with the software. In short, they want to learn in the software and with the software. Onboarding should not take longer than 30 to 60 minutes in enabling users to navigate, to get help, and to access everything they need in their roles.

Becoming productive: Users want to become productive and see results fast. They want to learn and improve while they are working with the software system.

Expand skills: Key users in particular need to expand their skills and become expert users. And as they progress from proficiency to expert status, they need to keep their knowledge up to date.

SAP Enable Now Tutorials for Effective Learning

To achieve these goals, SAP has created more than 25 “Getting Started” tutorials with SAP Enable Now that include topics such as “Working with the Launchpad”, “Working with apps”, “Navigation and personalization”, and “Getting help”. All tutorials are accessible through the SAP S/4HANA Cloud app “My Learning” or via the free SAP Learning Hub discovery edition. In addition, more specific task tutorials are available in-app together with further product assistance.

All tutorials are beeing produced with SAP Enable Now and can easily be adapted and customized by customers with an SAP Enable Now licence. The new user tutorials are based on four design principles:

  • All user tutorials are self-paced: The learner has control over the learning speed

  • Learning duration between 3 to 5 minutes: The tutorial are modular and it takes only up to 5 minutes to consume them

  • All tutorials are easy to understand as they do not require expert knowledge: More detailed help is available with the product assistance

  • Many tutorials even feature try-it-yourself mode for practicing
