C-ANT9103 with C9130e

Can I use this antenna with 5GHz?
Is 802.3bt required?
I want to install it for a warehouse at one end, replacing ANT2566P4W-RS=

I have RF devices 1x1 stream

Please, I would appreciate your answer

Hi @PQR 

   I believe this is not right, otherwise there would not be a use case for this antenna as 99% (if not 100%)  of end devices on the market does not support 8x8.

Hi @PQR 

This antenna is in the list as supported antenna for AP C9130e and it does support 2.4 and 5.0ghz.

 The fact that the device is only one spatial stream is not a problem.

I found this statement on twitter and I did not understand what it means, I also ask if it is required to work with Universal POE (802.3bt).

 

The twitter says: "Disappointing it cannot do dual 4x4 5Ghz"

This antenna is Tri-band MIMO Wall/Pole mount directional antenna operates in the 2.4-, 5- and 6-GHz frequency ranges and supports IoT.

 The dual 4x4 5,ghz is not mentioned on the datasheet thus is not supported.  But I believe this feature  (dual 4x4 5Ghz) is supported on internal antennas. Like, for example  the 9124AX

About the PoE, the antenna does not required PoE or extenal power source. Antennas are passive device. On this case, the antenna has a Led but the power comes from the AP.

I didn't understand much about 4x4 5GHz, so with the C-ANT9103 antenna only works in 8x8 5GHz?

Will it impact the 5GHz performance for my devices?

I was referring to the AP 9130E, if it is necessary to work with the antenna, because I see that it says that for 8x8 it has to be 802.3bt, and with 802.3at it would only work with 4x4 in 5GHz, so I was worried about what the tweet says.

What the guy was reffering to is Dual 4x4. Which means, the same antenna propagates two 5.0ghz radios with 4x4.

 At least, thats what I undertood.  He might be talking about flex radio

About the PoE, on the datasheet, you can see 802.3at also

I found this information, when the datasheet says it only supports 8X8 antenna, does it mean it only supports 8X8 client devices?
Will it support 1x1, 2x2 OR 4x4 devices?
