This 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG was first delivered to Mercedes-Benz of Escondido, California, and it was specified in Rocky Mountains Dark Brown over designo Light Brown Natural leather. Factory options consist of carbon-fiber trim elements, an AMG adaptive suspension, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system. Power is from a 6.2-liter V8 linked with a replacement seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle and a limited-slip differential, and additional equipment includes 19″ and 20″ seven-spoke alloy wheels, gullwing doors, a rear wing, bi-xenon headlights, heated power-adjustable seats, Keyless-Go, COMAND infotainment, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The car has been registered in California, Maryland, and Texas, and it now has 39k miles. This SLS AMG is now offered with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, two key fobs, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Rocky Mountains Dark Brown (491), which was introduced for the model year, and features gullwing doors with pop-out handles as well as bi-xenon headlamps, a rear wing, straked front fender vents, power-folding mirrors, and polished exhaust outlets.
Staggered-diameter 19″ and 20″ seven-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The car is equipped with AMG Ride Control suspension and speed-sensitive power steering as well as an optional AMG adaptive suspension. Stopping power is provided by AMG-branded brake calipers over cross-drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners.
The cabin features heated power-adjustable AMG sport seats trimmed in optional designo Light Brown Natural leather that extends to the lower dashboard, center console, and door panel inserts. Amenities include a rearview camera, Keyless-Go, optional carbon-fiber interior trim, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, and COMAND infotainment with navigation.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 240-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline as well as shift indicator lights and gauges for oil temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 39k miles.
The hand-assembled 6.2-liter M159 DOHC V8 was factory rated at 563 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. The battery was replaced in January 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Mercedes-Benz of Escondido, California, as well as factory colors, options, and a total retail price of $207,325.
