Lot #99926

This 1974 Kawasaki H2 Mach IV was acquired in 2021 by the seller, who subsequently carried out a refurbishment that was completed in 2023 and that included a repaint in metallic green with green and white accents. The 748cc two-stroke triple was overhauled with an overbore of .020″, a refreshed crankshaft, and replacement rods, seals, and bearings, and it is paired with a five-speed transmission. Additional work included powder-coating the frame black, re-chroming or re-plating parts and hardware, recovering the two-up seat, overhauling the oil injection pump, instruments, suspension, wire-spoke wheels, and brakes, and replacing the exhaust system, switches, and throttle and choke cables. Equipment includes an electronic ignition module, a steering damper, a kick starter, both center and side stands, and a chrome grab handle, front fender, and mirrors. This H2 Mach IV is now offered at no reserve with a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The bodywork was refinished in dark metallic green with lime green and white accents and the frame was powder-coated in black. Equipment includes a passenger grab bar, a chrome front fender, a piston-style steering damper, a storage compartment in the rear cowl, chrome mirrors, and both center and side stands. The two-up seat pan was powder-coated, the seat was reupholstered, and rubber parts were replaced. Chassis and engine hardware, along with electrical connectors, were coated in zinc.

Wire-spoke 19″ front and 18″ rear wheels were re-plated in chrome, fitted with replacement spokes, bearings, and rear dampers, and are mounted with IRC Grand High Speed GS11 tires. The dual shocks were overhauled and polished, and the conventional telescopic fork was fitted with replacement seals and dust boots, and the lowers were polished. Braking is from a disc up front and a drum at the rear, and the front caliper was overhauled and the master cylinder was replaced.

The gauges and hand controls were overhauled and the choke and throttle cables were replaced. Instrumentation consists of a Nippon Seiki 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline, and a set of center-mounted indicator lights. The five-digit odometer shows 21 miles, a handful of which were ridden under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. Hand control components were repaired or replaced as needed, and the choke and throttle cables were replaced. The seller notes that the ignition, seat lock, and fork lock use the same key.

No Reserve: 1974 Kawasaki H2 Mach IV

The air-cooled 748cc two-stroke triple is said to have been overhauled and bored .020″ over, and it was fitted with a refreshed crankshaft as well as replacement rods, seals, bearings, and intake tubes. Equipment includes an electronic ignition module, triple Mikuni carburetors, and a Delkevic three-into-three exhaust system. The oil injection pump was reportedly overhauled.

Power is transferred to the rear wheel through a multi-plate wet clutch, a five-speed transmission, and a drive chain with a chain oiler. The clutch release, clutch plates, shifting forks, and sprockets were replaced, and the shift linkage, kick starter, and brake lever were re-plated in chrome.

The bike is registered as Planned Non-Operation in the state of California.
