ZyXEL pushes gaming and streaming boundaries with new Armor Z2 router

June 23, 2016 – Hsinchu, Taiwan – Do you experience heavy lag while playing games like League of Legends or Overwatch? To ease the strain of more devices competing for bandwidth on home networks, ZyXEL Communications is launching a new AC2600 MU-MIMO Dual-Band Wireless Gigabit Router (Armor Z2) to power gaming, streaming, and heavy multitasking at full speed.

Designed for gaming and streaming enthusiasts, the Armor Z2 carries a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and MU-MIMO*/StreamBoostTM technology to turbocharge multiple Wi-Fi devices – all at the same time - with 3 times faster 802.11ac Wi-Fi speed.

The four adjustable beamforming antennas means Armor Z2 can pinpoint Wi-Fi coverage to your Wi-Fi devices even while you are moving around. The multiple Ethernet ports give users the freedom to hand-wire it to game consoles or smart TVs for even faster connection. The fierce look of the Armor Z2 doesn’t just look good, it also sports a brand new airflow design keeping it cool and quiet even when you’re gaming in full swing.

Free Apps that go along with the Armor Z2 include the ZyXEL ONE Connect and the ZyXEL Photo App to help users control home networks through mobile devices. They allow users to enable guest Wi-Fi and parental control, back up photos on connected devices, and test connection speed.
