Williams Stadium
Williams Stadium is a place of great tradition. The 2008 season ushered in a new tradition at the home of Wilmington
College football as the Quakers unveiled a new synthetic playing surface and lighting.
On Sept. 20, playing on the new turf and under the new lights, the Quakers started the new tradition by continuing
a time-tested tradition of excellence with a 34–7 rout of Marietta before a near-capacity crowd at the 3,500-seat venue.
“You couldn’t have written a story any better than the whole day,” Wilmington head coach Barry Wulf said. “We had more
than 80 recruits and their families here. Our kids played great. The fireworks and the band were great. What a great show
for the community.”
The Quakers were all but unbeatable on home turf in 2008, with their only loss at Williams Stadium coming to eventual
national champion Mount Union.
In 2009, Wilmington will play six games at Williams Stadium, beginning with the Sept. 5 season opener under the lights
with Mount St. Joseph.
“Having six games at home has been a rallying cry, and our kids have bought into it,” Wulf said. “Having the new turf
and the lights has created a new environment, and our kids recognize that and they are excited about it. Having six home
games should provide us an even bigger lift.”
Athletic Training
Athletic training is an exciting and fast-paced allied medical profession. As an integral member of the athletic
healthcare team, the certified athletic trainer (ATC) is educated in the prevention, treatment, evaluation and
rehabilitation of sports-related injuries and illnesses sustained by physically active people. Certified athletic
trainers work closely with medical professionals in a wide range of settings that include high schools, colleges
and universities, professional teams, sports medicine clinics, corporate fitness facilities and hospitals.
In 2005, Wilmington’s athletic training program earned the maximum seven-year accreditation from
the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Students completing the Bachelor
of Science degree program at WC are eligible for the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of
Certification (NATABOC) examination to become a certified athletic trainer. Students also are eligible for the Ohio
licensing exam upon earning their ATC credentials. All athletic training students are considered pre-professional
during their first two semesters. After satisfactory completion of the pre-professional requirements, students
are advanced to the professional phase of the curriculum, including advanced clinical education.
wC Athletic training scholarship
All students accepted into the athletic training program
receive $5,000 in scholarships over three years. Students
receive $1,500 their sophomore and junior years and $2,000
their senior year.
Athletic training internships
WC interns get to experience first-hand the full scope of
sports medicine. Some of WC’s most recent internship sites
include the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, Columbus
Crew, Dayton Dragons, Dayton Sports Medicine Institute
and many area clinics and high schools.
national Program recognition
Wilmington students have received an unprecedented six
NATA scholarships. One graduate earned the highest score
on the national certification exam. WC’s program also has
been featured on the front cover of the NATA News and in
Moyer, stacy inducted to wC Hall of Fame
Steve Moyer and Wayne Stacy were among the 2008 inductees of the Wilmington College Athletics Hall of Fame.
Moyer spent his first year with the Wilmington College football team as a member of the offensive line. The transfer from Eastern
Kentucky University, however, longed to make tackles rather than throw blocks. In 1977, he was switched to linebacker, launching what
turned out to be the most prolific three years of individual tackling in team history.
In 1977, Moyer recorded 130 tackles and snagged five interceptions. A year later he set the single-season tackles record of 170 that still
stands 31 years later. In just three seasons, the Valley View High School graduate compiled 427 tackles, also a record that continues to
endure the test of time. Moyer’s nine interceptions also rank on the WC Top-10 list.
Stacy is one of WC’s most celebrated two-sport athletes. In 1989 he set the school record in the discus and decathlon—records that
still stand, like his 100-meter dash mark established in 1991. On the football field Stacy played safety in 1988 and finished with four
interceptions and more than 80 tackles. The departures of Derron Calvert and Keith Regenhard created a void at wide receiver that he
was chosen to help fill. In the next two seasons Stacy pulled down 117 catches for 1,803 yards and 20 touchdowns, numbers that occupy
Top-10 positions in the WC all-time charts. In 1990 he was named an NAIA All-American.
All-Americans
wiLMinGton is HoMe to ALL-AMeriCAn trAdition
Since 1972, 75 Wilmington College football players have earned All-America honors. Will No. 76 be
wearing the green and white this fall?
“We know that individual success comes after team success, and often comes as result of team success,”
Wilmington head coach Barry Wulf said. “When you look at the impressive list of All-Americans that have
been a part of this program, you are immediately reminded of not only incredibly talented, but remarkably
unselfish players—players who always had their teams’ best interest in mind. Our players understand and
appreciate what it takes for teams and individuals to achieve.”
The Quakers also have made their mark in the classroom. Twenty-five Wilmington football players have
received either Academic All-American or Academic All-District honors since 1982.
“Our players know that coming to Wilmington College is about more than football. It’s about developing
the skills that will help them be community leaders,” Wulf said. “We are extremely proud of the tradition of
classroom excellence and community service within this program.”
2009 Wilmington College Football
After receiving a master’s in sports administration from
Oklahoma State in 1999, Wulf came home to Wilmington
College as an assistant coach, where he worked with all three
phases of the team before being named head coach in May 2005.
Wilmington, he said, is committed to developing both players and
people.
“Coaching is teaching,” Wulf said. “We’re fortunate that we get to
teach young men a game, but in reality we’re teaching them life
lessons through this game. Wins on Saturdays are important, but
what’s most important is how well we help prepare these young
men for their lives beyond Wilmington. That’s the scale that weighs
our true level of success.“
A Cincinnati native, Wulf played football for and graduated
from Anderson High School. He and his wife, Deirdre, reside in
Wilmington with their son, Davis, and daughters, Breianna
and Baylie.
Head Coach Barry Wulf
Barry Wulf begins his fifth season as head coach of the Quakers in 2009. In 2008, Wulf
led Wilmington to its best record in seven years and was named the Ohio Athletic
Conference Co-coach of the Year.
“That was very humbling, but I give all of the credit to our coaching staff and our kids,”
Wulf said. “When they found out, they were excited. Even though there’s one name on
the award, it is still a team honor for the body of work that this entire football family had
done. To be recognized as such by the OAC’s coaches says a lot, and we’re looking to
build upon that. We were excited about the progress we made last year, but we also
know that we left quite a few wins on the table that we intend to go get this year.”
A four-year tight end and punter during his WC playing days, Wulf is very much at home
on the Wilmington sideline.
“Wilmington College is my home,” Wulf said. “I enjoyed Wilmington as a player and
I enjoy it as a coach. There’s a lot of pride, a lot of tradition at Wilmington, and I’m
blessed to be a part of it.”
Wulf was an assistant coach on the Quakers’ staff for two seasons before accepting
an assistant coaching position with Oklahoma State University. In Stillwater, he coached
the offensive line that paved the way for the Cowboys’ trip to the Alamo Bowl in 1997.
2009 Wilmington College Football
Assistant Coaches
Jim Marsh
Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks
A veteran of the sideline, Jim Marsh
returns for his 16th season on the
Wilmington College football staff.
Marsh served as the quarterbacks
coach from 1993 to 1996 before
coaching the Quakers’ running backs
during the 1997 season. In 1998,
Marsh was named the team’s offensive
coordinator and has served in that
capacity in all but one year since.
Marsh grew up in Hillsboro, Ohio, and started his playing
career with the Hillsboro High School Indians. He graduated
from Hillsboro in 1981 and took his playing skills to
West Virginia Tech, where he was a four-year starter on the
offensive line. He graduated from WVT in 1986 with a degree
in business education. He also holds a master’s in industrial/
occupational safety from West Virginia University.
Marsh’s coaching career started at West Virginia Tech as an
assistant in 1989 before he was named head coach in 1990. He
also was an assistant at Bethany (W. Va.) College and West Liberty
State. Marsh also is WC’s director of operations and teaches HPE
and business courses.
“Jim is a great football coach. He loves Wilmington College
football, our kids and our staff,” Wilmington head coach Barry
Wulf said. “We’re thankful to have Jim as a part of our staff. He
continues to be a leader of our offense, and we are excited about
what our offensive capabilities are going to be.”
Marsh and his wife, Tish, have three sons, Garrett, Trent and Sloan.
They reside in Wilmington.
Marque Jones
Wide Receivers
Marque Jones has been an integral
part of Wilmington College football
for more than three decades.
Jones stresses all phases of the
wide receiver position, and the
results speak for themselves. Four
Wilmington College receivers—most
recently Jon Cain—have received
All-American honors under Jones’
tutelage.
A native of Miami, Fla., Jones was a
two-year starter at Curley High School, graduating in 1969.
During his collegiate career with the Quakers, Jones was a fouryear
letter winner (1973–76) at wide receiver. He caught 39 career
passes for 620 yards, averaging 15.8 yards per reception. His most
productive season was 1975, when he hauled in 21 receptions for
310 yards.
Jones graduated from Wilmington in 1977 with a business
administration degree and attended the University of Cincinnati
www2.wilmington.edu/athletics
on a graduate honor scholarship. In 1979, he received a master’s
in marketing from UC.
“You can’t say enough about what Marque means to our football
family, our program and this community,” Wilmington head
coach Barry Wulf said. “He’s such an extraordinary teacher of wide
receiver play, but he teaches more than football. He talks about
life and things that are most important.”
Jones and his wife, Terri, have three children; Daryl, Desiree and
Marque. They reside in Wilmington.
Will Isaac
Running Backs
Will Isaac returns to the Quaker
sideline for his seventh year as an
assistant coach and fifth season as
running backs coach.
Isaac is no stranger to the
position he coaches. In 2002, he
became just the fifth running back
in Wilmington College history to
eclipse the 1,000-yard mark in a
season when he gained 1,006 yards in 10 games. In 2001 he
narrowly missed the 1,000-yard plateau, rushing for 901.
Despite an injury-shortened career, Isaac ranks third in
Wilmington College history in career rushing yards with
2,191, stands second in rushing attempts with 545 and
fourth in rushing touchdowns with 17.
“Will has such an innate ability to get to know these guys
on a level where he can get inside their hearts and minds,”
Wilmington head coach Barry Wulf said. “Our running game
has consistently improved under Will’s leadership.”
Isaac has a daughter, Mya Jackson. He resides in
Wilmington.
Mark Lane
Defensive Line
Mark Lane enters his fourth
season as Wilmington’s defensive
line coach.
A former defensive tackle, Lane
ended his WC career with 176
tackles—29 for loss—and four
fumble recoveries. His fiercely
competitive nature was illustrated
during his senior year when he
returned from a mid-season broken leg to play the final two
games on the schedule.
“Mark is a big leader for the entire defensive unit. Our kids
look up to him,” Wilmington head coach Barry Wulf said.

2009 Wilmington College Football
“He’s a phenomenal teacher of line play, and he has also
done a tremendous job heading up our recruiting efforts.”
Lane, a West Milton native, holds a degree in sport
management from Wilmington.
Lane and his wife, Lyndsay, reside in Wilmington.
J.R. Clark
Defensive Backs
J.R. Clark will work with Wilmington’s
defensive backs in 2009.
A 2007 WC grad, Clark was a
standout linebacker for WC, and
coached the Quakers’ linebacker
corps in 2008.
“J.R. is a solid coach and teacher
of the game,” Wilmington head
coach Barry Wulf said. “He did an
outstanding job with our linebackers last season, and we
are very excited about what he will be able to do with our
defensive secondary. He will be one of the reasons that our
defense plays very well this season.”
Clark hails from Springfield, where he graduated from
Northeastern High School.
Steve Meister
Offensive Line
Steve Meister enters his second
season with the WC coaching staff
in 2009.
A four-letter winner and threeyear
starter at Miami University,
Meister started 36 consecutive
games at either center or guard
for the RedHawks.
“Steve has already proven to be an incredible coach and
teacher,” Wilmington head coach Barry Wulf said. “He
brings a great knowledge of offensive line play. He also
commands respect. He was not only a three-year starter
at Miami; he also was a team captain his senior year. His
experience in offensive line play is exactly what our staff
needs, and he relates to our kids tremendously. He has a
proven work ethic and great leadership that has made a
strong impact on our program.”
Meister is a native of Allison Park, Pa., and a graduate of
Shaler Area High School.
Assistant Coaches
Don Sizer
Linebackers
Don Sizer returns to his alma
mater for the 2009 season. The
1988 WC alum will be a graduate
assistant assigned to the Quakers’
linebacker corps.
Sizer was a three-time All-America
linebacker during his playing days
and ranks second on the all-time
team tackles list with 393.
Sizer was an assistant coach for WC during the 1991
and 1992 seasons and also had head coaching tenures at
Western Brown, Bethel-Tate and Clinton-Massie high
schools.
“Don brings a wealth of talent, knowledge and enthusiasm
to our program,” Wilmington head coach Barry Wulf said.
“He is a big part of the incredible linebacker tradition at
Wilmington. We are very happy that he is here to coach and
teach our current and future linebackers.”
A native of Trotwood, Sizer teaches physical education at
Western Brown High School.
Sizer and his wife, Ann (Adler) Sizer ‘92, have a daughter,
Mary, and a son, Wil. They reside in Mount Orab.
John Moore
Defensive Assistant/Video Consultant
John Moore continues his
involvement with the WC football
program, a journey that travels 28
years into the past.
Moore was a Wilmington
assistant coach throughout the
1980s and 1990s and was a
member of the staff that led the
Quakers to a 10-2 record and a
berth in the NAIA national championship game in 1980.
“We are grateful to have John on our staff,” Wilmington
head coach Barry Wulf said. “His knowledge of the game
of football—especially on the defensive side of the ball—
enhances our overall approach to how we play the game.
John has coached all three levels of the defense, and also
was a defensive coordinator. He knows the game and loves
the game.”
Moore assists the game-planning processes and statistical
analysis of opposing teams’ offenses.
Moore and his wife, Nancy, reside in Wilmington.
The 2008–09 year proved, once again, why the Ohio
Athletic Conference is one of the most prestigious
Division III conferences in the nation. The Mount
Union football team won its 10th national title, the
Ohio Northern volleyball team made its ninth straight
NCAA Tournament appearance while the Heidelberg
volleyball team made its second consecutive appearance
in the NCAA regional semifinals.
Ohio Northern’s Jimmy O’Brien claimed the indoor 800-meter run title while
wilmington’s Callen Martin was the national runner-up in the indoor 55-meter dash
and outdoor 100-meter dash. The Ohio Northern softball team made its first NCAA
Championship appearance. Heidelberg wrestling qualified a program-best six studentathletes
for the NCAA Tournament. The John Carroll and Capital men’s basketball teams
advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16. The Otterbein women’s golf team placed fifth at the
NCAA Tournament, while the Otterbein men placed 13th. Mount Union men’s tennis
advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Individually, the Conference was represented by over 50 All-Americans. Academically,
the OAC boasted numerous CoSIDA ESPN the Magazine Academic All-Americans, along
with regional and national coaching honors.
The OAC, the third oldest conference in college athletics, is predated only by
the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (1888) and the Big Ten (1895). The
Conference is older than the World Series and even the NCAA itself and has survived
two world wars, the Great Depression, the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict. From
a modest beginning of six charter members in 1902, the OAC grew to as many as
24 members in the mid-1920s.
Through the years a total of 31 colleges and universities at one time or another
have been members of the OAC. Currently the Conference consists of 10 members:
Baldwin-Wallace College, Capital University, Heidelberg University, John Carroll
University, Marietta College, Mount Union College, Muskingum University, Ohio Northern
University, Otterbein College and Wilmington College. Wilmington became the 31st
OAC member school on July 1, 2000.
In the OAC’s first year of existence, 1902, the first Conference champion crowned was
Case Tech which won the football title with a 5-0-0 record. Outdoor track was added
a year later and a third sport, cross country, became a Conference sport in 1914.
More sports were steadily added to the OAC’s repertoire throughout the years, culminating
in the addition of women’s sports in 1984. The Conference currently sponsors
championships in 21 sports, 11 men’s and 10 women’s.
The enrollments at the 10 OAC institutions range from 1,200 to 4,500. All of the schools
were founded in the 19th century and have long and outstanding academic reputations.
While maintaining these high academic standards, Ohio Athletic Conference athletic
teams and athletes have consistently enjoyed a great deal of success on a regional
and national level. The athletic competition is viewed not as an end in itself, but as an
extension of the educational programs.
2009 Wilmington College Football
Wilmington College enters the 2009 season looking to build
upon the success of last fall. The Quakers were 4-5 in Ohio
Athletic Conference play in 2008—a season that featured a
3-1 record at Williams Stadium.
“We’re a better football team,” said WC head coach
Barry Wulf, the 2008 OAC Co-coach of the Year. “We’re
becoming the football team that we envisioned four years
ago when we took over. We haven’t progressed as quickly
as we’d like, but we’re taking the right steps. We’re going
to continue working on getting better every day.”
—oFFense—
The Quakers will be looking to fill the void created by the
graduation of wide receivers Marque Jones and Brandon
Hiatt, and tight end Wes Anders. Re-loading on the run,
Wulf said, is a way of life in the OAC.
“We lost some great players, but we have a lot of solid
players coming back,” Wulf said. “Our entire offensive line
is back, and we have two experienced quarterbacks and
three running backs returning. There is a lot of experience,
talent and knowledge coming back. We think we are going
to be able to put a dynamic attack together.”
—QUArterBACk—
Back to lead the
Quakers’ attack is senior
quarterback Billy Blackburn,
who ranks No. 4
on the WC all-time passing
yardage (4,713) and
passing touchdowns (48)
lists.
2009 Season Preview
“Billy has gotten better
every year and is growing
both on and off the field,”
Wulf said. “It’s exciting to
watch a young man grow
as a player, a leader and a
person. Our players have
unwavering confidence in
Billy Blackburn
Billy. They know that he is a get-it-done guy, that there are
no shortcuts with him. They know that he will do whatever
it takes to win. They see that and they respect it.”
Also expected to see time at quarterback is sophomore
Adam Reynolds, who was the team’s second leading rusher,
playing in six games last season.
—RUNNING BACK—
An All-OAC selection as
a freshman, Marc Otte is
looking to rebound from an
injury-shortened sophomore
season. Also back is junior
Astin Laury, who led WC
with 482 rushing yards last
season, 185 of which came
in the Quakers’ win at
Heidelberg.
www2.wilmington.edu/athletics
“Marc and Astin have proven
what they are capable of
doing, and we are excited to
see more from them,” Wulf
Astin Laury
said. “We also have several other players who are capable
of lining up in or near the backfield and making an impact.
We think we have a lot of weapons.”
—WIDE RECEIVER/TIGHT END—
Jeremy Stuckey will be a key
aerial target. The senior receiver
snagged five TD catches a year
ago and also is a special teams
standout.
“Jeremy is just guts. He’s a highenergy
kid. I just love his intensity
and enthusiasm,” Wulf said. “He
can go over the middle and he
can go deep. We will have to find
ways to get him the football.”
Among the list of anticipated
Jeremy Stuckey
role players out wide is senior Luke
Green, who has been a special
teams standout and shown the ability to make big catches.
Rex Pitsinger, Brett McEvoy and Darren Howard are expected
to be components in the Quakers’ tight end by
committee plan. “We have a lot of weapons at tight end,”
Wulf said. “Our challenge is to put everything together and
make this thing go.”
—OFFENSIVE LINE—
Center Randy Swain,
guards Luke Harris
and Matt McCabe,
and tackles C.J. Potter
and Adam Salyers form
one of the most experienced
offensive lines in
team history.

2009 Wilmington College Football
“Your offense is only as good as the experience of your offensive
linemen,” Wulf said. “When you have five guys that know
each other inside and out, there is complete continuity. This
group knows our offense; they know each other. Those are big
things for us.”
—DEFENSE—
The Quakers’ defensive mantra remains the same—hit, tackle
and take the ball away. In 2008, the Quakers forced 21 turnovers
while giving the ball up 15 times.
“We are not going to change our philosophy,” Wulf said. “We’ve
got to get our defense off the field, and one of the ways to do
that is to give the football back to our offense. Our turnover
margin was a big key to our success last year. Beyond that, we
have to make offenses earn everything they get against us. It
all starts with our ability to tackle and our ability to take the
football away.”
—DEFENSIVE LINE—
Back to help WC’s battle
for control of the trenches
are defensive ends Kenny
Marsh and Nathan Geers,
who combined for 10.5
sacks in 2008.
“Those two kids are just
absolutely amazing,” Wulf
said. “They will be two of
the best defensive ends in
the conference. Kenny was
Kenny Marsh
an All-OAC pick last year and
Nathan plays the game with the same level of intensity. They
make their own plays, which sets the table for our entire defense.”
—LINEBACKER—
Wilmington College’s tradition
of strong linebacker
play is expected to continue
this season with the
return of All-OAC selection
Chris Medley and Bryce
Martin, both of whom led
the squad with 95 tackles
last season.
“Chris really developed as
the season progressed,” Wulf said. “He was just tremendous.
And as good as Bryce has been the past two years, we think
he is going to be even more of a force for our defense this
season.”
2009 Season Preview
—DEFENSIVE BACK—
Filling shoes will be key
to the Quakers’ success
in the defensive backfield.
Gone through
graduation are starting
cornerbacks Brandon
Porter and Brad Abner.
www2.wilmington.edu/athletics
“We took a big hit, but
we do have experience
at the corner,” Wulf
said. “Tray’on Goodwin
is back. T.J. Burbridge,
T.J. Burbridge
who was all-conference as a safety, can also play the corner.
We think Jordan Dugger, a transfer, can be a phenomenal
player. He can play corner and safety.”
Perhaps no player epitomizes Wilmington’s defensive
philosophy better than strong safety Donta’ Stone, who finished
the 2008 season with 64 tackles, three forced fumbles, two
fumble recoveries, an interception and five tackles for loss.
—SPECIAL TEAMS—
The Quakers kick return and
coverage squads will be paced
by Stuckey and last year’s WC
special teams MVP, Derick
Westfall.
“If we’re going to win ball
games, we have to, week in and
week out, win at special teams,”
Wulf said. “We took some
steps in that direction last year,
especially in our punt team.”
Junior punter Rex Pitsinger averaged
35 yards per punt in 2008
Aaron Pohly
while sophomore place kicker Aaron
Pohly connected on three of four field goal attempts.
—SCHEDULE—
Wilmington opens the 2009 campaign at 7 p.m. on Sept. 5 at
home versus Mount St. Joseph. After a Sept. 12 bye week,
the daunting OAC schedule presents challenges for nine
consecutive Saturdays.
“The schedule is always tough,” Wulf said. “It starts with a very
good Mount St. Joseph team and only gets tougher. Every
team in the OAC is getting better and better. We’re going to
take it one game at a time. That’s a cliché approach, but it has
worked for us.”
2008 Season Review/Season Stats
was named the OAC’s Co-coach of
helm.
With senior wide receivers Marque Jones
and Brandon Hiatt on the loose and junior
key to the success that we enjoyed,” Wulf said. “We gave up
just 12 sacks—the least in the conference. That says a lot
about how well our line played.”
Wilmington’s hit, tackle and take the ball away
mentality played out on the defensive side of
the ball. The Quakers ranked third in the conference
with a plus-6 turnover margin.
“When we take the ball away, we are a
very good football team,” Wulf said. “We
grew a lot as a defensive unit in that way
in 2008.”
The Quakers featured three of the OAC’s
top 10 tacklers. Linebackers Chris Medley
and Bryce Martin had 95 stops each, while
safety T.J. Burbridge recorded 84 tackles.
Sophomore tackle Kenny Marsh was fourth in the
conference with seven sacks.
Wilmington was downright stingy in the red zone. The
Quakers led the OAC in red zone defense and also topped the
conference by forcing 10 turnovers inside the WC 20.
Community Service
Members of the Wilmington College
football team continued the program’s
tradition of community service in 2008
at a street fair hosted by the Clinton
County Homeless Shelter.
Players and coaches staffed game
booths and provided some muscle
power as the homeless shelter celebrated
the opening of its new annex.
“It was a beautiful event on a beautiful day. We were blessed
to be a part of this activity,” Wilmington head coach Barry Wulf
said. “Our players are committed to making a difference in their
campus community and the greater Wilmington community.
Playing football for Wilmington is about more than X’s and O’s.
We are focused on the development of community leaders.”
Other community service projects adopted by the WC football
team include Cape May Retirement Community, Wilmington City
Schools’ Right to Read Week and March of Dimes’ March For
Babies.
“These young men will be on campus for four years, but they
will be impacting their communities for the rest of their lives,”
Wulf said. “We are proud of the way they not only accept these
opportunities, but more importantly, how they embrace them.”
During the 2008 season, Wilmington also hosted Coach to Cure
MD Day. The Quakers worked to defeat Muscular Dystrophy, in
particular Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, the leading genetic
killer of boys and young men.
“For me personally, having a child with special needs has opened
my eyes to the need to embrace causes like this,” Wulf said.
www2.wilmington.edu/athletics
“Having experienced what we have as a family and getting to
understand the different types of special-needs children that are
out there, like DMD children, we feel it’s important to do what we
can whenever we have the opportunity.
“This was one of those opportunities. We need to do more. We
need to get the word out that there are people who are struggling
that need our help. We need to raise the awareness level.”
Linebacker Cody Hamilton lends a helping, dunking hand to
Tyler Watson at the Clinton County Homeless Shelter’s streeet fair.
Wilmington football players staffed the basketball attraction,
cornhole boards and baked sale tables.
The Quakers celebrate a victory for the community during a street fair hosted by the Clinton County Homeless Shelter.
