can also upscale lower-resolution <strong>DV</strong>D sources to 1080p to match your HD display. Along with various flavors of <strong>DV</strong>D and CD, the<br />

<strong>DV</strong>-<strong>BD507</strong> handles AVCHD video clips stored on an SD/SDHC Card or <strong>DV</strong>D±R/RW. The unsurpassed video quality of <strong>Blu</strong>-<strong>ray</strong> <strong>Disc</strong> on<br />

AVCHD Compatibility<br />

<strong>Blu</strong>-<strong>ray</strong> <strong>Disc</strong> delivers the most vivid and detailed video images ever<br />

seen in home theatre. A disc played back on the <strong>DV</strong>-<strong>BD507</strong> can be<br />

output in full high-definition 1080p at 24 frames per second—the<br />

native frame rate for movies. Meanwhile, the <strong>DV</strong>-<strong>BD507</strong> offers<br />

compatibility with the increasingly popular AVCHD format, which<br />

employs the high-compression MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video codec.<br />

Now you can enjoy big-screen playback of high-definition video clips<br />

recorded on a compatible camcorder and stored on an SD/SDHC<br />

Card or <strong>DV</strong>D±R/RW.<br />

BD-Live (Profile 2.0) Delivers a More<br />

Interactive Experience<br />

The <strong>DV</strong>-<strong>BD507</strong>’s BD-Live capabilities let you connect directly to the<br />

internet and access a variety of up-to-date content, such as movie<br />

previews, games, and live peer-to-peer interactions. The BD-Live<br />

specification also includes BonusView features, such as picture-inpicture.<br />

This function lets you view a small video in the corner of the<br />

screen while the main feature plays in the background. To take<br />

advantage of BD-Live features, you need an optional SD/SDHC Card<br />

with a capacity of 1 GB or more.<br />

DivX ® HD for a More Flexible HD Video Option<br />

The <strong>DV</strong>-<strong>BD507</strong> is compatible with the DivX HD codec, which delivers<br />

format. High-compression DivX HD video files offer full 720p or 1080p<br />
