SMARTmpsoc Brick

SMARTmpsoc Brick is an out-of-the-box board designed to enable easy integration of Time-aware Ethernet Industrial Networks in equipment for Industrial, Transportation and Aerospace sectors.

It is composed by a SMARTmpsoc module and a SMARTmpsoc Carrier. The system is powered by XCZU3EG Zynq Ultrascale+ MPSoC and 5 Tri-speed GbE links. This device embeds a quad-core ARM® Cortex-A53 platform running up to 1.5GHz combined with dual-core Cortex-R5 real-time processors, a with a Mali-400 MP2 graphics processing unit and a last generation reconfigurable areas (FPGA).

The set-up allows the implementation of custom routers, switches or end-equipment with powerful time-aware networking capabilities. Network frame processing can be driven by hardware using SoC-e IP Cores (even combined with customer's logic). SoC-e offers solutions implementable on SMARTmpsoc for: HSR, PRP, MRP, DLR, TSN, RSTP, PTP, low-latency Ethernet, Profinet and Ethernet IP.

All the electronic components have been selected in the Industrial temperature range. Therefore, it is possible to use the Brick directly in the plant environment.
