NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Heavy rain and strong winds hit Connecticut on Saturday.

flood watch has been issued for all of Connecticut from Saturday morning through Sunday morning.

Rainfall Forecast

A month’s worth of rain fell on Saturday, raising the risk of basement, stream and river flooding. Flash flooding also impacted some roads.

Wind Advisory

A wind advisory has been issued for the southern half of Connecticut through 2 a.m. Sunday for wind gusts of up to 45 to 50 mph.

Highs will range from 39 degrees to 52 degrees, from the north to south.

Sunday, we’ll see dry conditions with lots of clouds and some sun, with highs of 40 to 45.
