  The best time every time

  We hired Tim Dorsey for our wedding DJ due to past experiences with him at other wedding. We were so happy we went with him! He listened to all of our requests for the ceremony, dinner, and reception. He was so fun, went out into the crowd, and even sang himself! He does the fun game that involves shoes and asking the couples questions and the guests loved it. Our contract ended at 11 but he offered to stay until midnight for us which we were very thankful! We received many compliments from the guests and would highly recommend this team! So fun and affordable!!

  Highly recommend tim dorsey

  From the start Tim was amazing to work with. He truly puts his heart and soul into making the day perfect! Our dance floor was NEVER empty! He mingled with all our guests and added his personal touch throughout the whole day! He played our ceremony also, and I haven't stopped getting compliments about the service! Tim is overall a amazing DJ and down to earth man!

He sings (Piano Man is a must!) and dances like no other...and when I say sing, I mean his voice is truly phenomenal! Tim took the extra time to get to know us and our music preferences prior to our big day. He also made great suggestions about how to structure our reception timeline based on his previous experiences and the setup of our venue, which was very helpful. Our dance floor was full the entire night and our guests could not stop raving about him. My husband and I highly recommend Tim from Dorsey Entertainment for anyone in the greater Fox Valley Area looking for a fantastic entertainer!

  Tom Dorsey was recommended to us and we are so glad that's who we went with! We had so many compliments about how awesome he was, even a week after our wedding! The dance floor was always filled and he had the party going all night! Great & fun guy, playing the right music for all age ranges! We absolutely loved him!!

  I absolutely loved having Tim for my wedding day and so did all my guests! He played and sang for my ceremony, cocktail hour, and my reception. He is an amazing musician and at times sounded so good and real if you didn't look you thought it was the artist of the song singing. He is amazing. His son Ezra is also amazing. I have friends who have had him for their weddings also.

  We had Jonah Dorsey DJ our wedding reception. The dance floor was alive the whole night. Our guest list had a pretty wide range of ages, and we let Jonah know this prior to the wedding. We got so many compliments on the music selection Jonah played. Every generation had something familiar to dance to. It was great.

  Had a great time and we are so glad we picked Tim Dorsey for our DJ. All of our guests complimented us on the DJ and told us they had so much fun. We saw some of our guests on the dance floor for at least a couple hours who we thought would sneak out right after dinner. Tim was a BLAST!!!

  Simeon did an amazing job at our wedding... Our dance floor was packed with everyone from our friends to grandmothers to small children. Everyone had a great time. Was very flexible is song list and able to access almost ANYTHING for us. Nothing but compliments!!

We had such a fun time at the wedding, the music was awesome. They played all the songs that we had requested and any songs that the guests asked them to play.   The best DJ I have ever seen/heard. In fact, the other wedding party in our building was complimenting on how much better DE was than their DJ. Tim was awesome, he gets right into the party and dances with you. Our families are not very big dancers to begin with, but with Tim there people you would never expect to get up on the dance floor up there for the whole night. DE is well worth the fee they charge.

  We are so happy we went with Tim for our DJ. Our dance floor was full all night thanks to him. He is so much more than your average DJ - he sings, entertains, and plays some of the music himself. We had multiple guests asking where we found him and several more who said "oh my god! He's singing!?" Can't say enough good things about Dorsey Entertainment.

  We worked with DJ Hannah who was so sweet and relatable!! She did an amazing job and was right in our budget range. Dorsey Entertainment has a great reputation and their top DJ were out of our price range but we lost nothing by going with Hannah who is more affordable but yet still amazing to work with! She keep the vibe going with a great mix of songs, played songs we gave her ahead of time but also took requests and did a great job of balancing the music with the crowd, young and old! Don't for a minute be sexist and give any pause on the fact that she is a female, Hannah rocked it and you and your guests will LOVE her!!

  Dorsey Entertainment helped us get in contact with our ceremony musician. We had been searching for an French-style accordion player and having no luck. We contacted Dorsey Entertainment on the recommendation and are so glad we did. We were able to have the music we wanted at our ceremony and cocktail hour. The accodionist was excellent and really willing to work with us. He learned the songs we requested and even played a duet with my brother for the processional. He also played during the cocktail hour which was the perfect touch. If you are looking for a specific instrument or style of music, give Dorsey a call even if it isn't listed on their website. The accordionist wasn't but we were still able to work with him.

  I booked Dorsey Entertainment because I went to high school with one of the kids of the family and wanted to support a local business. My husband and I have a rather eclectic taste in music, and didn't want the usual popular music played (you know, songs like the
  Macarena.') We spent a lot of time going through our music collection and compiling an extensive list of the songs we wanted played. I met with one of the Dorsey brothers, who was very polite and professional, and supplied him with the list of songs and also all of the songs burned on CDs. He assured me that he would play the songs we had selected. We also decided to book his sister, a professional singer, to sing a few songs 'karaoke style' as we thought that would be a classy touch.
  
  They arrived on time, had a nice DJ booth, and were very professional. However, it became clear early on that none of our songs were being played. Several times my husband approached the DJ and requested that he play the songs we had provided him -- towards the very end of the night, I recall hearing 5 or so songs played that we had put on our list. Things like 'the Macarena' and 'Toxic' by Britney Spears were being played. Throughout the course of the night, the sister of the family we had hired to sing say perhaps 2 songs, and so softly that no one was aware she was singing.
  
  Now, just to make clear, we made sure our list of songs was family friendly -- no swear words, nothing like Marilyn Manson or anything creepy or inappropriate. We enjoy music like the Doors, Tom Petty, and the Steve Miller Band. While I appreciate that DJs are responsible for the "life of the party," I think people would have enjoyed themselves on the dancefloor just as much dancing to the music we chose as opposed to the popular music we strongly dislike that was played.
  
  Aftewards, my mother approached the manager of the company and we did get a partial reimbursement. If you are not interested in an experience tailored to your musical tastes, I highly recommend Dorsey Entertainment -- they are very professional and very nice people. If you want someone else to chose the music for your event, definitely go with them. But if you have particular tastes in music, go somewhere else where they are more responsive to your requests.

Throughout the course of the night, the sister of the family we had hired to sing say perhaps 2 songs, and so softly that no one was aware she was singing.
  
  Now, just to make clear, we made sure our list of songs was family friendly -- no swear words, nothing like Marilyn Manson or anything creepy or inappropriate. We enjoy music like the Doors, Tom Petty, and the Steve Miller Band. While I appreciate that DJs are responsible for the "life of the party," I think people would have enjoyed themselves on the dancefloor just as much dancing to the music we chose as opposed to the popular music we strongly dislike that was played.
  
  Aftewards, my mother approached the manager of the company and we did get a partial reimbursement. If you are not interested in an experience tailored to your musical tastes, I highly recommend Dorsey Entertainment -- they are very professional and very nice people. If you want someone else to chose the music for your event, definitely go with them. But if you have particular tastes in music, go somewhere else where they are more responsive to your requests.
