It features an impressive temperature range, measuring from -40 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit with a response time of just 5 seconds when used in liquids.

Encasing the cable is a yellow polyurethane outer jacket, which is protective up to 176 degrees Fahrenheit. This complements the durable and convenient design that the stainless steel shaft provides both the instrument itself as well as its operator. The handle is made of a durable phenolic material that can handle temperatures up to 325 degrees Fahrenheit, a necessity for use around hot surfaces.
