Yes it works on noisy valves. Replace 1 quart of oil for one quart of this treatment. So if your car requires 5 quarts, then use 4 quarts of oil and 1 quart of Rislone.

If it is related to "sticking self-adjusting hydraulic valve lifters" YES.

If you have a mechanical adjustment of the valve clearance (typically older cars before the 80's) the vales need to be mechanically adjusted; it can't fix that.

It depends. If your valves are noisy due to dirty engine, yes Rislone engine treatment may quiet your noisy valves. But if your noisy valves are caused by mechanical failure , then no you may need a valve adjustment. But for $4.47, it is surely low risk high reward. Good luck!

I put it 2 days after oil change.  Not sure for noisy valves. But it surely reduces idling vibration and sound.

Yes to both questions. By thinning the oil, it quiets them down, because some lubricant can get through the thin passages from clogs.

I don&#39;t believe that it will hurt the engine any. It&#39;s going to thin the oil out. They suggest changing the oil as well.

I have a kia 2012, and developed sludge in the engine by delaying an oil change by 2 month. It runs quiet, but would this product hurt the engine work

Can this product be used in a newer engine as preventive maintenance? I have a 2015 Kia Optima 2.4lts. with 45k miles on it.

I don't have many miles on my SUV, less than 64m (M=thousand), but I have 10 years on it. I wanted to help the initial starting & running of warm up, but adding this, with a snake oil. Except for the first bump start, it helps quiet the valves sooner than with out.

You can always go with a lower W weight oil if you'd like, but this adds a few chemicals to the oil to help your engine along the way, getting into all of those little spots, & hopefully clearing those paths a little bit in the process.

I have used this many decades ago on a higher mileage car & it did help get some oil into those harder to get to areas of neglect. You could see that when you took things apart, as well as the glops of sludge in the oil pan after adding it.

Remember, this thins the oil out. I started with half the can first to see how it'd do. I added the rest about two weeks later, which helped it along better.

You simply put half of it in your tank when you're filling up your tank if on a long road trip..then the other half when returning..Can't say enough about it besides it's Beyond FABULOUS FOLKS..USE IT EVERY TIME I GO DOWN TO DENVER.. Great for older engines my is over 20 years old and 200,000 miles. It helps clean the carbon and slug out as well as quite the engine noise. Bring new power back for older engines.

New life for old engines

My wife's 2000 Toyota Corolla has the motor with sludge issues known by Toyota. It also has extremely loud lifter noise, especially under acceleration. I have been searching for years for a remedy. I found it !!. It's Rislone engine additive that can be added anytime. The car has been on Mobil 1 for many years, which has helped also. With the Rislone, the noise disappeared right away, on the very1st usage, poured in about 1/2 Qt. I believe that the car seems to have a better pickup also. My wife drives all city, all the time. Toyota Corolla noise issue resolved

My engine has 211,000 miles and I use this stuff religiously.  Engine runs as smooth as the day I bought the car.

The best.  Great for older engines.

Rislone High mileage engine treatment worked as advertised in my 2003 F150 5.4. After adding it to my engine it now runs quieter and smoother with a noticeable increase in fuel mileage.

Bought a used vehicle and the CarFax was a little sketchy on the maintenance.  Read about how this can clean the engine while leaving it in full time.  Some of the others you have to drain right away. YouTube rating was great.  Car seems to run a little quieter.
