This stock pot is huge. It is made out of stainless steel. It also comes with a glass lid that has a little bent hole in it. The lid fits really nicely onto the pot and provides a good seal. You can cook anything in this pot from making stock to making homemade soup to anything in between that requires a pot. It would do really well for shrimp boils and things like that.

Massive Pot

This pot is huge! The quality is great. It has a nice thickness and the bottom thickness reduces the chances of burning. But it's not super heavy. The lid is glass, not metal, which makes it easier to see inside the pot. There's also a vent hole on the lid. This pot looks stylish as well. I can't believe I paid less than $30 for this pot!

This 20 quart stock pot is so beautiful! First off, I love stainless steel.  And I love pots that have glass tops, and the tops that are heat shatter resistant makes it even better. Well this pot has all the above features, perfect!  I can make a big pot of stew, greens, beans, chicken and dumplings, just to name a few... I love the sturdy handles also. It goes perfect in my kitchen with my other stainless steel appliances. I will be purchasing a few more to give to my son and daughters. They will love them.

If you cook for big families, then you should get this pot. I love that it is HUGE! It's so big. I can cook a huge pot of pho broth and serve it to my family of 20 whenever they come by for Sunday dinner. It came in a very secure package. The pot looks amazing. It works great. I love that it is stainless steel. It makes cooking so much easier. I love that the glass lid fits perfectly. I've received pots and pans before where the lid wasn't a perfect fit which was frustrating. But this set fits well together. It is harder to wash if you have a small sink. We have a deep wide sink so it is easy to wash. When I brought it to my friends house I had to wash and rinse it outside with a hose. Make sure you use special care when washing something that is stainless and heat up the pot well before throwing anything in. Overall, I am very happy with the Mainstays stainless steel 20 qt stock pot with glass lid. I highly recommend it!

Perfect for cooking for big families!

I ordered this 20 quart stock pot for two main reasons, one is cooking a large batch of deer chili to freeze in family size food sealer bags for easy meals in the future or corn on the cob for a group party. The other reason is to give boiling water canning a try. This stock pot is large and will hold 5 quart jars or 8 pint jars. It is made from a decent weight of stainless steel with a thick heavy 3 ply bottom. It has a handle on each side that is securely rivited to the pot. The domed glass lid is rimmed in stainless steel, has a vent, and a stainless knob in the center. Be aware that both the handles and the knob will become hot when in use. I would advise removing the lid before moving this pot as the top of the pot has a radius on the edge and the lid could slide off pretty easy as it is not a tight fit. I did however get a welcome surprise when I discovered this pot works on my countertop induction cooktop. The 3 ply bottom is magnetic but the sides are not. I find this to be excellent as induction cooking does not heat the whole kitchen with wasted heat. All in all in my opinion, this is a good quality stock pot with the advantage of induction use that I have not noticed before.

This stock pot is amazing. It has an excellent glass lid with steam hole in it. This is exactly what you need for family, church and social gatherings. It cooks so good . I made homemade vegetable soup for  family gathering in it. It cooks evenly, does not stick. Super durable.  Really easy cleanup. Definitely recommend if cooking for lots of people.

Great pot

This 20 quart pot is huge. I underestimated the size of this pot greatly.  It is stainless steel and is beautiful as well as practical.  If you cook for large functio s such as family reunions or cater yhis is the pot for you. It has a heavy duty plate at the bottom for even heat distribution. It has a fitted lid with vent hole and cool touch handles for easy transport.

Huge but functional

I really like this pot except that there is a crimp on the rim and this damage did not happen in the box which means it was damaged before shipping.  Have been receiving boxes poorly packed lately.

After unpacking the undamaged shipping box, and taking the stock pot out, I discovered a split on the side of the pot, near the handle, that is about an inch long.  At the top I saw rust at the edge of the split.
