Well... I bought the exact same model, only in the 10,200 BTU. The lowest setting on that is 61 degrees. I would think that the 7,600 would be the same.

On window a.c. units, What does HAIER mean

This AC is a replacement for another Haier AC unit that has just expired from use. We expect it to give us the same good service as the one it replaced. It is very quiet and does the job of cooling a large master bedroom and bath very well. It also will cool another room across the hall if we open a window slightly. We have had very good luck with this brand and model.

wonderful product. couldn't of made a better choice. Price was wonderful. Works beautifully, and easy to install. I highly recommed this window unit for people on a budget who desperately need some cold air.

Great Energy Savings!

When we first opened the box it had a crack in one corner. We installed it anyway and it works great to cool a room fast. The only problem is that it is really loud while it's running.

Cools great but even on the low setting it's fairly noisy. I imagine that they greater the btu's the louder it will be. Does a great job at cooling down my 900 sq. ft condo and I don't really need to have it on much, just long enough to bring the temperature down.

note sure what they mean by ultra quiet - maybe a translation problem - it was so loud you couldn't hear anything else! Maybe it means makes the rest of the world quiet - good build quality though and clever engineering on things like the attachment for the expandable grid to cover the window opening

I purchased this model window air conditioner based on the write-ups indicating it was the quietest air conditioner on the market. The intention was to use it in the bedroom as an add on to the swamp cooler which cools the entire house. Unless you wear ear plugs to bed, the noise is intolerable. I purchased a Samsung for the other bedroom, lower cost, same energy efficiency, and not only is it much quieter, but is seems to cool more efficiently. If it weren't such a problem to take this unit out, I would return it.

CHOICES: SLEEP OR COOL?

I have no idea how well the air conditioner worked. I took it out of the box, it was dirty and scratched up as if it were very heavily used. I took it right back to the store. I don't know how it could have been used since they don't even sell this model in stores but air conditioners that have been in my home for years don't look as bad as this one looked new. The return process was very easy though.

This was a frustration. I ordered this unit because of the width stated on the Walmart.com site (15.5 "). When I open the box the unit was 20.25 "; it was much too wide for my window. Please correct the site dimensions. I returned it without taking it out of the shipping box.
