L'Alcazar: An old-school French brasserie given a very modern look

With its super chic décor designed by architect Laura Gonzalez, the Saint-Germain brasserie may have been redesigned but still offers great quality food.

L'Alcazar

With its new super chic décor by architect Laura Gonzalez, the Saint-Germain-des-Prés brasserie’s location change has not altered the quality of its cuisine.

More of a family home than a standard restaurant, spending an evening at the Laura Gonzalez-designed L'Alcazar is like going over to a friend’s house for an evening where the food, wine and conversation flow late into the evening. Recently redesigned, the address is a lesson in modern Parisian sophistication, with its marble bar, mustard and teal-colored seating, terrace, lush greenery and high ceilings, as well as a mezzanine level looking over the restaurant below. The brasserie’s cuisine is just as impressive, with daily menu of classic French dishes.
