Drawing on the decadence of Versailles and Le Corbusier's avant-garde architecture, Karl Lagerfeld showed a Chanel couture collection that blended genres at Fall/Winter 2014-2015 Couture Week. Described by the designer as "haute couture without couture", one white, baroque-style look appeared after another, with jeweled, metallic thread embroidery. Anna Mouglalis, in Venice last night with her film Il Giovane Favolos, chose a short, ivory neoprene dress from the collection, embroidered with meandering gold and silver curlicues. The French star accessorized with a simple black clutch.
