Heroes Reborn Brings Back Greg Grunberg as Officer Matt Parkman

Another hero has been Reborn!

Heroes Reborn, NBC's reboot of the original series Heroes, has cast Greg Grunberg to reprise his role as Officer Matt Parkman in a guest arc, TVLine reports.

The original Heroes series was a victim of the writers' strike: It did very well in its first season, but fans felt like it went off the rails in Season 2. The show ran for four seasons before being canceled in 2010.

NBC is giving it another shot this fall, and is bringing back Masi Oka, Jack Coleman, and Jimmy Jean-Louis as their heroic alter egos. Newcomers to the cast will include Zachary Levi and Ryan Guzman. (Sadly, Zachary Quinto declined the offer to return.)

Earlier in the week, Grunberg hinted at the announcement on Twitter:

"I miss playing this guy," he tweeted, along with a photo of his mind-reading character on Heroes.

Heroes Reborn will come to NBC for 13 episodes this fall.
