Joe DASSIN

Joseph Ira Dassin, known as Joe Dassin, born November 5, 1938 in New York and died August 20, 1980 in Papeete (Tahiti), is a French-American singer, composer and writer. In a career spanning sixteen years (1964-1980), he enjoyed numerous successes in France, in the French-speaking world, but also elsewhere, notably in Russia, Finland, Greece and Germany. Joe Dassin has sold more than 50 million records worldwide, including nearly 17 million in France with 10 million singles and 7 million albums.
