Artists

Keiichi Tahara
One of Japan's leading photographers, Keiichi Tahara moved to France in 1971, fascinated by the "light" of Europe, which is different from that of Japan, and based himself in France until 2006, where he has been active not only in photography but also in architecture, sculpture, and a wide range of other forms of expression.

In this exhibition, Keiichi Tahara and dancer Min Tanaka worked on the relationship between "light and body" from 1978 to 1980, and will exhibit works from the "Photosynthesis" series, in which the body and light seem to be photosynthesizing.

In the basement space, the exhibit will showcase the "Portrait" series of works featuring world-renowned masters such as Christian Boltanski and Joseph Beuys. Tension arises when the artist and the subject confront each other and the light.
