Applications: Ecotec/2010 Buick LaCrosse¸ 2010 Chevrolet Equinox¸ 2010 GMC Terrain¸ 2.0L¸ 2.4L ECOTEC engines

Includes High-Quality Aftermarket Equivalents of:

  • EN-48585 - Pilots into the crankshaft bolt hole¸ and is used to center the balancer to the crankshaft hub. The balancer installs easily to the crankshaft when it is centered correctly. Once EN-48585 is installed into the crankshaft¸ the balancer is installed onto EN-48585¸ and then onto the crankshaft hub.
  • J-43653/EN-43653 - Used to hold the flywheel in-vehicle¸ such as for balancer service. J-43653 is installed in place of the starter¸ and its teeth engage the flywheel teeth. With J-43653 in place¸ balancer service¸ timing chain service¸ and flywheel torqueing (with the transaxle removed) can be performed.
  • EN-955/KM-955 - Used to retain the timing chain tensioner during service.
  • J-45027/EN-45027 - The timing chain tensioner must be retracted before the tensioner can be installed on engines. J-45027 is used to retract the timing chain tensioner prior to installation into the engine block. Unapproved methods will damage the tensioner.
  • EN-49212 - Used to hold the camshaft sprockets in place during servicing.
  • EN-48953 - The camshafts on the ECOTEC engines must be held when removing or installing the cam phaser bolts¸ or the timing chain may slip and not keep its relationship to the phasers. EN-48953 mounts to the front of the block and its tabs engage both cam phasers to hold them so the phaser bolts may be serviced. A pass-through hole on each side allows a socket to be used to remove or install the phaser bolt. Current service methods use an open end wrench to hold the cam¸ and can be very awkward¸ especially for in-vehicle service.
