Dominique Strauss-Kahn is facing demands for child support after it was confirmed that he fathered an illegitimate boy in 2010 while he was head of the International Monetary Fund, it was reported yesterday.

A Paris judge is said to have heard a request for 8,000 euros per month from a 45-year-old woman who had proved the paternity of a 66-year-old known as DSK, the French edition of Closer reported. The former finance minister took 18 months to agree to provide a DNA sample.

He was not present at the hearing and did not comment on the report.
