Who is actor Patrick Duffy?
Patrick Duffy is an actor and director who was born on March 17, 1949, in Townsend, Montana.
He first rose to fame in the late 1970s by portraying the role of Bobby Ewing on Dallas.
Duffy was seen in more than 320 episodes of the original series and he went on to reprise the role in 2012 for three seasons of the TNT revival.
Outside of the Dallas franchise, Duffy can be recognized for his roles in You Again, Step by Step, and The Bold and the Beautiful.

When did Patrick Duffy work with Suzanne Somers?
Throughout the course of Duffy's career, he has worked alongside countless stars.
The late Suzanne Somers is among them.
In April 2021, he opened up about their friendship during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, revealing that it began on the set of the 1990s series, Step by Step.
On the show, Duffy portrayed the role of Frank Lambert, a divorced contractor, while Somers played Carol Foster, a widowed beautician.

Their characters quickly fell in love and got married, becoming a blended family of eight, and according to Duffy, it was the "best job I ever had."
"She was a mentor in the very beginning. She's sitcom gold," Duffy said of his co-star, who passed away in October 2023 at the age of 77.
"I was ready to do a comedy, but she was the one who, you know, I would do a bit or a part of a scene or something and I'd always glance over at her -- she'd give me a (winks) or a mmm, whichever one. And then we found our footing and it was, again, the best job I ever had."
Somers reciprocated those feelings, telling Yahoo! Entertainment in 2021: "We will always be dear friends. I usually get in touch with him on his birthday — he was born on St. Patrick's Day, so it's really easy to remember! We always have a virtual drink together."

In recent years, Duffy has shied away from the spotlight, but fans can rest assured knowing that he is still as active as ever.
Since 2006, Duffy has portrayed the role of Stephen Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Additionally, in 2021, he starred in three TV films, Lady of the Manor, Doomsday Mom, and The Christmas Promise.
Outside of acting, Duffy stays busy by running his baking company, Duffy's Dough, which provides DIY dehydrated sourdough starter kits for those who want to make bread at home.
