Footballing legend Luis Figo has been spotted in Somerset and posed for selfies with fans. Sports fans posted pics of the former Portugal and Real Madrid midfielder in and around Bath over the weekend.

Reports on social media suggest that Figo was in the city dropping his daughter off at university. Nick Bishop posted a snap of the pair on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “It’s not every day you bump into @LuisFigo in Bath.” Another tweet claimed to have seen the footballer in the city's Primark store.

Another sporting fan James Edwards bumped into him on Saturday night while out with friends and said: “Out in Bath with the legend tonight.”

Luis played for Barcelona, Real Madrid and Portugal in the early to mid 2000s. The 51-year-old dad of three won 127 caps for the Portugal national team , a one-time record, and has been cited as one of the best players of his generation.
