The Narrative Logic In Silent Comedy
But there is a common point exists in both their works: the exploration to the relationship between
human and the increasingly mechanized society. Although it might be argued that the narrative logic in
silent comedy is irrational and the gags are surreal and dreamlike, the fantasy world in slapstick
comedy is more or less reflect the real society and the uncertainty as well as curiosity when people
confront the new changes in their day to day life. As Bilton writes, comedy s fantastical harmlessness,
its tendency to code phenomena as nonsense, its relief of anxiety via the explosive but innocuous
release of laughter all these suggest the comforting panacea of entertainment. Maybe the most
comfortable way for people to face the unknown is to make the uncertainty into something that can be
laugh about, that is, the slapsticks.

Characteristics Of Chimpanzee
Throughout the world, there are multitudes of different species between the monkey and ape families.
Chimpanzees follow under the species of the great apes which consist of the common chimpanzee;
that most people are familiar with. The chimpanzee lives in the dense tropical rainforest of Africa.
With this is mind, chimpanzees have been made to have certain features that allows them to survive
effectively within their environment.
One of the essential features of chimpanzees is their size. A chimpanzee generally weighs around 70
130 lbs and reaches the height of 4 5.5ft. Along with their size, fur is also a critical feature for them to
have in order to thrive. Fur covers the top of its head, back, legs, and arms but does not have fur on its
face, palm of its hands, toes, feet, chest, and stomach area. It would not make sense for a chimpanzee
to have hair on their face because it would interfere with their sight. They don t have hair on their
palms, toes, feet, chest and stomach because they have thick, coarse fur everywhere else which is able
to keep their body temperature regulated. An equally important and easily recognizable feature of a
chimpanzee would be their opposable thumbs. In addition to this, chimpanzee s make up of their
bodies allows them to function in their environment. For instance, chimpanzee jaws are heavy and
protruding, and the canine teeth are large. Their spines are constructed in a way where they can stand
up similar to a human, but they also

St. Ignatius Of Loyola And The Spiritual Exercises
When we think about the most known spiritualities within the Christian tradition, it is common to hear
the Company of Jesus, or Jesuits, as one of relevance, and which a lot people are acquainted with.
People would even easily recognize St. Ignatius of Loyola, its founder, and his most important work,
the Spiritual Exercises. However, when we are asked to mention Christianity s most notable mystics,
names like St. Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross or St. Gertrude the Great come to light, but St.
Ignatius is seldom considered. In fact, it just takes a simple internet search to notice that his name does
not make it in many lists of church mystics.
This work proposes to present St Ignatius of Loyola s mystical nature, and how his mysticism was the
foundation of Ignatian Spirituality and its importance for The Spiritual Exercises.
The term mysticism is a term that has had different connotations throughout history. According to the
Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, the term Mysticism comes from the Greek word that means to
conceal , therefore in early Christianity it was used to refer to hidden allegorical interpretations of
Scripture, for example to refer to the mystery of Jesus in the Eucharist. Later, the term began to
denote, mystical theology, including direct experiences of the divine. This led philosophers to focus
then, on the aspect of mystical experiences .
But what is a mystical experience? Once again, the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, defines
mystical experience as: A (purportedly) super sense perceptual or sub sense perceptual experience
granting acquaintance of realities or states of affairs that are of a kind not accessible by way of sense
perception, somatosensory modalities, or standard introspection. Others define it simply as an
experience of the divine. On the other hand, St. John of the Cross describes the mystical experience,
when the soul is brought into a mystical state. He says, . . . when once the soul is brought into this
other state, it acts not at all with its faculties, . . . Then God communicates Himself to it passively,
even as to one who has his eyes open, so that light is communicated to him passively, without his
doing more than keep them open. And this

phone. What did they do thousands of years ago before smartphones were around? This essay will
explore how to determine your location along with the time frame in the Ancient World. To identify
your location, you must look around and account for everything you see including the climate. You
walk miles through a very hot and sandy environment when suddenly you walk upon, three very
massive pyramids with a couple smaller ones surrounding them. You take a closer look and notice

Sailing with Vespucci
Sailing with Vespucci If I were to ride aboard the ship in the age of exploration, I would choose
Amerigo Vespucci. Amerigo was born in Florence, Italy on March 9, 1951. He was one of the first
Europeans to believe that the land Columbus had discovered was not the Indies, but rather an entirely
new continent. Because of this, the new land would be called the Americas, a feminized version of
Amerigo. Amerigo was born in Florence, Italy, his parents, Ser Nastagio and Lisabetta Mini, were
friends of the Medici, a very wealthy family that controlled Italy from the 1400s to 1737. When
Amerigo was in his early 20s his uncle, who was the ambassador to France, sent him on a brief
diplomatic mission to Paris. This trip probably sparked his fascination of travel. After that Amerigo
held a number of different jobs that would teach him valuable lessons that would benefit later in his
life. These included small business endeavors, being a banker, and even being involved with
merchants who would supply Columbus journey across the Atlantic. On one occasion he even got to
sit down with Columbus and talk to him about the new world. This conversation most likely inspired
his adventures to the new world. So when Amerigo was in his 40s he decided to abandon his failing
business venture and become an explorer, funded by queen Isabella of Spain, before he was too old to.
It is believed that Amerigo left for his first voyage on May 10, 1497 from the port of Cadiz with a fleet

Example Of Observation Child Observation
I. CONTENT
My first thought about this subject was that it would be really fun and exciting because of the subject s
description, Observational Child Study , where we can already experience actual child observation.
Fortunately, I was right. Our professor tackled amazing topics that really served as an eyeopener. We
encountered topics about the characteristics of some of the disabilities like autism, attention deficit
hyperactive disorder, learning disabilities, and also, developmental delays. We even had the chance to
test ourselves using the checklists or the assessment tools used for assessing children with special
needs. Observation is the main point of our subject. Our professor discussed some of the tips on how
to observe children in a proper way. Narrative report was also included in the process. We made
written reports about the 10 minutes observations we made from employees we ve ... Show more

I already learned the basics of observing and making a narrative report of the observations made. This
subject disciplined me in making the task properly and passing it on time. I thought, observing
children would be a hard job to do but I was wrong. It was really interesting and fun because I
witnessed unusual behaviors and happy faces from children I ve encountered that really motivated me
to do my very best to pursue my goals and achieve what I really wanted to do and that is to really
become a Special Education teacher. Honestly, I never thought of using checklists in assessing and
observing individuals because I thought it would only be written observation with no basis. That is
why I got shocked and interested when our professor introduced the assessment checklist for some of
the disabilities. Leadership was also developed during our SPED 4 experience. There were times
where I remind my classmates about the alloted time, the tasks given and the do s and dont s of the

History Of The River Tees
This route has a delightful blend of woodland and river scenery. We visit the cosy little village of
Lartington and explore the sylvan valley of Deepdale Beck where a wide range of flora and fauna can
be enjoyed.
Barnard Castle, or Barney as it is more affection
ately known, is an ancient market town. It grew up in
the shadow of Bernard de Balliol s magnificent fortress, after which it is named. The castle dates from
1125 when the original timber structure was rebuilt in stone. It stands 80 feet (24m) above the river
Tees and uses the natural defence of almost sheer cliffs on the west and south sides. The remains
include the Great Hall and a large circular keep the Round Tower, also known as the Balliol Tower.
In 1569, during the Rising ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This area has been landscaped at some time and is planted with Giant Wellingtonia trees. There are
also traces of ornamental ponds and waterfalls.
Leaving the village we pass the Lartington Aqueduct and then continue into the sylvan valley of
Deepdale. The aqueduct was built in 1863 to take the beck over a railway cutting, through which the
South Durham and Lancashire Union Railway ran. We also pass the site of the Deepdale Viaduct,
opened in 1861, to carry the railway on to Tebay. This was 740 feet (225m) in length with eleven
spans across the river and it stood 161 feet (49m) above Deepdale Beck.
Deepdale contains some of the richest deciduous woodland in Upper Teesdale and is a haven for birds
and wild flowers. Great spotted woodpecker, robin, tree creeper and grey wagtail are often seen and,
with patience, kingfisher. You may also spot the brown argus and dark green fritillary butterflies. Our
path leads us back to the main road.
Now we follow the road into Barnard Castle via County Bridge, another bridge so named because the
river Tees was the former border of Yorkshire and the Palatinate of Durham. From the bridge we
continue up through the town passing the Butter Cross and return to our parking

Science of Stars Paper
In this paper I will explain how astronomers determine the composition, temperature, speed, and
rotation rate of distant objects using various methods. I will explain the properties of stars. I will also
summarize the complete lifecycle of the Sun and determine where the Sun is currently in its lifecycle.
Measurement of Distant Objects
Light is a type of energy. Light behaves like a wave because it acts as a disturbance in the magnetic
and electric field of space. Light can behave as a particle, because it sends all its energy to one place.
A particle of light is called a photon. Photons can be absorbed into objects, bounce ... Show more

Properties of Stars
Many physical properties of stars can be found by using a little bit of light. One property of a star is
luminosity. Luminosity is the quantity of energy created in a star and then released as electromagnetic
radiation. The brightness of a star is a blend of luminosity and distance of a star and can also depend
on the quantity of energy absorbed in the direction of a star. Another property of a star is distance.
Astronomers use parallax to establish the distance to an object. As Earth travels around the Sun, they
monitor neighboring stars from various positions. They are then able to measure how much the star
seems to move to establish the distance to the star.
Another property of a star is temperature. By measuring the temperature of a star, scientists are able to
tell how hot the star is. They use color to measure the temperature of stars. The red ones are the
coolest (3,500 K), the yellow ones are warmer (5,000 to 7,000 K), the white ones are warmer still
(9,000 to 15,000 K), and the blue ones are the hottest (20,000 to 50,000 K).
Life Cycle of the Sun
The life cycle of the Sun starts like all stars with a cloud of dust and gas made up of mostly hydrogen.
If the cloud cools, it will shrink because of the gravitational pull between the particles

Fallacies
According to Owl Purdue, fallacies are normal mistakes in thinking that will undermine the rationale
of your contention. Fallacies can be either illegitimate arguments or superfluous focuses, and are
frequently recognized on the grounds that they lack evidence to support their case. In a Letter to the
Editor titled Gay Marriage in the US , the writer, Dan G, shares his views against the legalization of
gay marriage. He discusses how he doesn t want his children exposed to public displays of affection
by same sex couples. Oregon gave out 200 marriage licenses to gay couples. He argues that same sex
marriage wasn t yet legal and questioned why the county was in such a rush to marry them (G, Dan).

Written by Walter Sosnosky, the writer shares his angry view of how he felt Officer Wilson was found
guilty merely because he was a white officer and the victim was a black man. In his letter, he writes,
America found Officer Wilson guilty of murdering Mr. Michael Brown based on one fact, that Officer
Wilson is white. All that you have done was sent a message to all America and the world that mob
justice leaves only death, destruction and more hatred. When are we as a nation going to wake up and
face the fact that through unity and respect of the judicial system can we live in trust and peace. I
believe that Mr. Sosnosky was making a hasty generalization. A hasty generalization is a contention
that assumes all are the same, however, there are excessively few occurrences, making it impossible to
backing such a case. The writer suggests that all of America found Officer Wilson guilty. That isn t
possible when a jury consists of 12 people and there are over 321 million people in the United States.
He also argues that a message was sent to all of America and the world that mob justice leaves only
death, annihilation and further hate (Sosnosky). I believe that Mr. Sosnosky has also used two logical
fallacies in one statement, a hasty generalization and a slippery slope. He made a hasty generalization
when he says that a message was sent to all of America and the whole world. This simply is not
possible. I am sure there are many people who are not even familiar with the case, not only in the
United States, but throughout the world. In this letter, you will also find he used a slippery slope
fallacy, in which Walter Sosnosky states that mob justice leaves only death, annihilation and further
hate. The Slippery Slope is a fallacy in which somebody expresses that some event should occur after
another with no contention for the inevitability of the occasion being alluded to. A great part of the

The Basic Pistol Qualification Course
1. The basic pistol qualification course is not an accurate indication of firearms proficiency for the
experienced shooter. The basic pistol qualification course has to be repeated if members allow their
qualification to lapse. Qualifying on the basic pistol course repeatedly is a time consuming and costly
evolution. The basic pistol qualification should be removed from the firearms re qualification
standard.
2. Coast Guard policy currently requires that any pistol qualified members who have allowed their
qualification to lapse, or failed to re qualify on Practical Pistol Course (PPC), must re qualify on the
basic pistol course before attempting to qualify on the PPC course. A lapse of qualification is
identified as not qualifying on the PPC course within 365 days of previous qualification. Failure to
qualify on the Sig Saur P226DAK service pistol may be attributed to many factors. Members can fail
to qualify for a number of reasons: Lack of familiarization with the weapon system due to limited
opportunities to practice with the P226DAK is the leading factor. Many members will only fire with
this weapons system during biannual weapons qualification. Weapon costs and rental availability at
gun shops and shooting ranges in the members area make more practice and familiarity difficult at
best, and nonexistent at worst. Members may also fail to qualify on the PPC course due to the many
steps of the PPC course, and again, lack of practice in the various steps of the

Celebrity Culture And Its Impact On Society
The media has been around since the invention of the printing press in the 1400s. It became easier for
information to spread all over Europe and then the world as the printing press spread to different parts
of the world. The media began to change as new inventions televisions, radios, and computers were
introduced to the general population. A different kind of culture was introduced to the world in the
United States: celebrity culture. Celebrity culture is the general public passion with celebrity that grew

Class Size College Essay
Harvard is the oldest college in the United States. It is well established and has produced any number
of notable politicians, public figures, and highly successful business people. Harvard gets around
35,000 applications each year for about 1,600 seats and averages around 10 students per class.
Harvard encourages small class sizes to allow a closer student professor relationship and contributes
to the sense of community on campus. Class size reduction is proven to help students socially and
academically. There is an ongoing debate over the precise point at which students begin to benefit
from smaller classes. Although there are advantages and disadvantages of student achievement in class
size reduction, there can be a compromise by using smaller class sizes for those who show a vaster
need. Student achievement is a measure of the amount of academic content a student learns in a

Subsequently, the more teachers needed, the more money that will need to be spent. It required more
buildings to be brought in or built to hold the additional classrooms. The most prominent disadvantage
to smaller class sizes is cost effectiveness, but improvement in teacher quality and restructuring

Although there are advantages and disadvantages in class size reduction to student achievement, there
can be a compromise. Smaller class sizes do not have to be for everyone. It can be left to lower
achieving schools. Beginning teachers can start in smaller classes, and leave the larger classes for the
more experienced. Larger class schools can provide one on one or small group tutoring for those who
need extra help. In kindergarten and first grade establish smaller classes but gradually grow. There is a

The poem How do I love Thee? Let Me Count the Ways , was written by Elizabeth Barrett Browning

When we read the first line of the poem How do I love Thee? Let me count the ways she is talking to
the audience about her husband Robert and how she loves him in many different ways. The second
line I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach when feeling out of sight For
the ends of being and ideal grace . She explains how her love for her husband is very deep and how it
can extend as far as it can like a soul does when it heads up to heaven. The third line I love thee to the
level of every day s most quiet need, by sun and candle light this means that the love is given every
minute of every day, even if they are in their quiet home or not, the love is still there day and night.
When we continue to read the poem there is one line that actually had me think a lot and that is I love

that moment because when she says men strive for right we know that the men have to fight for what

How Mechanical And Or Organic Solidarity As Discussed By...
The aim of this piece will be to discuss how mechanical and or organic solidarity as discussed by
Durkheim are relevant in today s society. Discussion shall surround the emergence of organic
solidarity the division of society, and the emergence of apparent equality and diversity in Western
society. In order to provide such an analysis this piece will draw upon academic journals, and theories
to substantiate the analysis, using works from Durkheim (1984), Marx (1984, 2008), although this list
is not exhaustive. Durkheim s work on the Division of Labour, according to Merton (1994) embodies
many of its characteristic features , referring to the work of Comte during the Enlightenment period.
Durkheim believed essentially according to Merton (1994) that morality should be questioned in order
that questions surrounding social integration should be answered. It was the view of Durkheim (2008)
that mechanical solidarity was based on agreed norms and beliefs located within society. Later history
saw the emergence of organic solidarity as addressed by Durkheim, emerging from the existence of
socialisation of individuals and differentiation. Durkheim (2008) believed that Mechanical and
Organic solidarity in their basic forms related to the transition from more traditional elements of
society as in Clans, tribes, and smaller underdeveloped communities towards a more complex society
based on the emergence of industrialisation. This ideology forms a description of the move

Comparing Fool For Love And Sam Shepard
Reading Evanescence, or Shakespeare in the Alley for the first time was confusing to say the least.
From the falling watermelons to Shakespeare himself carrying a dead body across the stage, it doesn t
initially make much sense, but, after reading it over a few more times an idea started to emerge. It
seems that the woman is talking about a lost love. Probably her husband. She talks about how they
became so lost in their lust for each other that they no longer saw the end that is inevitably coming. It
has clearly left her heartbroken as she has to pause several times, overcome with emotion, to compose
herself. Towards the end of the play I began to think that perhaps she is in a meeting with him to
negotiate their divorce. Shepard says that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With his background as a military child he must have seen a lot of things and heard a lot of real stories
as he moved from base to base with his family. He must have, somewhere along the line, decided that
people needed to hear those stories, regardless of how hard they are to hear. It seems he decided that
he didn t want to lie to people about how love and life really is as Shakespeare and countless others
have for years. You can see this not only in this play but in several others such as Fool for Love and
Savage/Love. In both of these plays as well you see issues that come up in relationships, including
some that are quite controversial like the ideas presented in Fool for love of love between siblings
Sam Shepard is a truly bold playwright that doesn t fear addressing issues that others shy away from.
He exposes all the raw ugliness of American life. But then, at the same time, this is something a lot of
us need. We need to hear the hard truth, to be exposed to difficult situations so that when they come up
in our own lives, we will be prepared. Shepard does this for us which is why he really is so important

How Did The American Dollar Affect The Economy
Many people know what the bank is but how many people know where and why it started? Banking in
its modern form originated in the city states of Italy during the 1400 s. This innovation developed
slowly, however, and when the American colonies were founded, banking was still not an established
practice in England. A text excerpt from Banking Industry in the Salem Press Encyclopedia states that:
A handful of banks operated in America during the colonial period, but these establishments were
closed by the British government in the 1740 s. In order to acquire capital, farmers and business
people relied on complicated chains of merchant credit. As the colonial economy diversified, the need
for a banking system became paramount. The first ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In U.S. History money was known as paper notes that could never be traded in for a set number of
gold and silver pieces. Eventually America ventured away from gold and silver pieces with the
adoption of the Bretton Woods system after World War II. The value of the American dollar is now
decreasing exponentially. Why is the American dollar devaluation so bad? The less your currency is
worth, the less goods and services you can buy with your money, the less companies make for
receiving payment for goods and services, and the less people actually make when they take their
paycheck home. (Hedgeable) If foreign governments decide to stop buying our debt many things will
happen to the American dollar. With our interest rates decreasing to 0% there has been no incentive for
foreign governments to want to buy our debts. For example, the Chinese have been buying Americans
debt for years. they are currently the largest holders of the U.S. debt.
If they stop purchasing our debt, their currency, and thus their economy, will go right into the toilet
along with ours. If they decide to sell the U.S. debt that they hold, the U.S. dollar will take a huge hit,
which will in turn cause the Yuan to take a large hit. This is the inherent problem with the Ponzi
scheme that has been run over the last 30 years. We consume more than we produce, and those who
buy our debt continue to pump money into the system, which perpetuates the cycle. It is still possible

Imperialism In Philippines

Imperialism in the Philippines
For over 400 years, the Philippines has been imperialized by the Spanish and the U.S. in order to gain
more power. Under their control, there have been many changes to culture, tradition, religion, and
language due to heavy influence from both countries. Imperialism is a policy where a country extends
its power by conquering other territories through diplomatic or military power. Imperialism is heavily
driven by the rise of industry and the need for raw materials to manufacture new firearms and
consumer goods. The Spanish treated the Filipinos ruthlessly, forcing taxes, labor, and seizing crops
and livestock without proper compensation. The U.S. imperialization caused English to become one of
the Philippines main languages, hospitals, schools, and railroad systems were established, and present
day Philippine government shares similarities to U.S. government.
Section 1
First colonized by the Spanish in 1521, the U.S. never had official control of the Philippines until
1899, when the U.S. won the Spanish American war. Eventually, the U.S. acquired the Philippines
through the Treaty of Paris, where it states that Spain s control of the Philippine Islands will be
transferred to the United States for $20,000,000. The Filipinos first viewed the conflict between Spain
and the U.S. as the perfect time to break away from Spanish rule and secure an alliance with the U.S.

Statutory Rape Essay example
Statutory Rape Laws
The term statutory rape is used when the government considers people under a certain age to be
unable to give consent to sex and therefore consider sexual contact with them to be a rape. The age at
which individuals are considered to give consent is called the age of consent. The age of consent can
ranging from thirteen to twenty one, depending on the limits set by each state in accordance with local
standards of morality. Even sex that violates the age of consent laws but is neither violent nor
physically forced is described as statutory rape. In most jurisdictions, the expressions under age sex or
sex with a minor are more commonly used.
After many years of prosecuting statutory rape laws, some people are ... Show more content on

Therefore, the government should create a clear differentiation between the two types of statutory
rapes and then a set of clear guidelines should be constructed. The first form of statutory rape occurs
when a person violently rapes an unwilling child under the age of consent, whether that person is a
stranger or family member (incest). This form is defined and in some cases more serious, deserving
harsher punishment than the other. The second kind of statutory rape is when a person of legally age is
accused of rape, by reason of committing sexual activities with their significantly younger partner.
Under this circumstance, sex with a minor , is when things are no longer only black and white. Violent
rape is rape; no matter how old the victim; on the other hand under age sex gets tricky.
I suppose what is problematic about the second situation is that different states have different ages of
consent. For instance, in California an eighteen year old boy could technically be put in jail for having
sex with his seventeen year old girlfriend, because the age of consent in California is eighteen.

Alexander Mackenzie s Repair
While the liberals were at force, it wasn t in their intentions to keep fabricating the route, so they
backed off on the creation of the track. During Alexander Mackenzie s cabinet years he invested
majority of his time in planning the best route for the CPR. Mackenzie s idea in regards to the CPR
route involved a less costly plan, or so he thought: his plan was developed around the thought of
building a line that would cross the nation partly by rail and partly by water20. Luckily this plan wasn
t carried out due to the fact that the CPR s budget wasn t high enough.
In 1871 an individual by the name of Sandford Fleming was delegated to construct a survey for the
Canadian Pacific Railway. These surveys were intended to focus on the best route

A Popular Ghost Story Differs in Hawaii We all grew up having sleepovers, camping with family, or

Pope Urban Viii By Gian Lorenzo Bernini
Furthermore, the Triton Fountain was specially made for Pope Urban VIII Barberini by Gian Lorenzo
Bernini. The fountain is placed at the center of the piazza; the fountain represents the God of Sea with
anthropomorphic body and huge fish tail, kneeling on an open shell supported by the tails of four
dolphins. The dolphins, leaning towards each of the four cardinal directions, open their mouths to
swallow the water of the surrounding pool, telling us that they drink up all the waters of the world.
The fins of the dolphins clutch the crown of Urban VIII, with papal tiara, keys of St. Peter, and
Barberini bees. Triton as the subject of this fountain is a very interesting choice. According to many
historical sources, Pope Urban VIII was a very talented poet, and he was very recognized for his
pursuits in this field, and Triton was someone who achieved a sacred unity with nature and literature.
And as we can see from the monument, the Triton was an appropriate public monument to Pope Urban
s distinguished literary accomplishments. On the other hand, this explanation of the connection
between Triton and Pope Urban is not effective, and unquestionably doesn t give us full information.
American art historian John Beldon Scott has established that Urban was suspicious of pagan imagery
for fear it might lead the faithful astray. This suggests that the Triton Fountain may imply to something
more significant than just the simple literary symbol. Also, it is important to mention that at

THIS ESSAY IS ABOUT HOW AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

How Automatic Transmissions Work
by Karim Nice
If you have ever driven a car with an automatic transmission, then you know that there are two big
differences between an automatic transmission and a manual transmission:
There is no clutch pedal in an automatic transmission car.
There is no gear shift in an automatic transmission car. Once you put the transmission into Drive,
everything else is automatic!
Both the automatic transmission (plus its torque converter) and a manual transmission (with its clutch)
accomplish exactly the same thing, but they do it in totally different ways. It turns out that the way an
automatic transmission does it is absolutely amazing!
Location of the automatic transmission

Notice that the first gear ratio listed above is a reduction the output speed is slower than the input
speed. The second is an overdrive the output speed is faster than the input speed. The last is a
reduction again, but the output direction is reversed. There are several other ratios that can be gotten
out of this planetary gear set, but these are the ones that are relevant to our automatic transmission.
You can try these out in the animation below:
Animation of the different gear ratios related to automatic transmissions
Click on the buttons on the left in the table above.
So this one set of gears can produce all of these different gear ratios without having to engage or
disengage any other gears. With two of these gearsets in a row, we can get the four forward gears and
one reverse gear our transmission needs. We ll put the two sets of gears together in the next section.
Gears
This automatic transmission uses a set of gears, called a compound planetary gearset, that looks like a
single planetary gearset but actually behaves like two planetary gearsets combined. It has one ring
gear that is always the output of the transmission, but it has two sun gears and two sets of planets.
Let s look at some of the parts:

Tikki Tavi Theme Essay
The story of Rikki Tikki Tavi is of a story of a mongoose who fights to protect his garden and family.
The classic tale of good versus evil, where the good triumphs evil. However, there lies an allusion to
meaning between what good and evil is considered to be. Rudyard Kipling, the author of Rikki Tikki
Tavi, portrays the cobras as evil, but are they really the evil one? They shouldn t be the only one
marked evil because even Rikki Tikki resorted to such ways to achieve what he wanted. The true evil
is the self interest if these characters. We begin near the start of the story when Rikki Tikki meets with
the bird Darzee, who is in sorrow because one of his babies fell and was eaten by Nag. Right after,
Nag appears before Rikki Tikki and says I am Nag. The great god Brahm put his mark upon all our
people when the first cobra spread his hood to keep the sun off Brahm as he slept (Kipling). In

Analyzing Kipling s choice of animals is not difficult to comprehend which is good or evil . The
protagonist, the mongoose Rikki Tikki, and the antagonists are two cobras, Nag and Nagaina. The
cobras are not difficult to identify as the evil of the two since snakes are evil because they kill

Domestic violence is a major issue throughout today s society, and the domestic violence spotlight
usually shines in the direction of professional sports. The less than glamorous limelight usually shines
upon major sports leagues including the NBA, NHL, (DeGette). NFL, and NASCAR. (Taylor). From
all of the recent controversy, one thing is clear; domestic violence cases should be left to U.S.
Congress due to the sports leagues rule violations against the offenses. The Commissioners of all of
the sports teams, a.k.a. the police of the leagues, often do not take a stance against domestic violence
issues or charges, unless these felons are put into the public eye, causing the league to lose appeal.

fiancé, although he definitely is not the only one. (Taylor). NASCAR star Kurt Bush has also been
accused of abusing his girlfriend during the peak of his career. (Taylor).
People blame domestic violence occurring through sports for various reasons, but there is truly no
reason for domestic violence. In contact sports, players are trained to use violence and intimidation,
and after they have been trained to enforce that for so long, there is no on/off switch to stop said
aggression. ( Out ). Athletes are supposed to be a symbol of manliness, and domestic violence can
create such forms of masculine unity. ( Out ). This sense of unity can spawn from the common locker
room talks about physical and sexual aggression towards women as an attempt to fit in with the peers
on their team. (Cord). Wins and losses also play a huge role in the occurrence of domestic violence. If
a team experiences an at home upset, then the chance of domestic violence occurring increases by ten
percent. (Cord). Sadly, this outrageous statistic doesn t affect the athletes alone, but their dedicated
fans. (Cord).
Athletes are more prone to domestic violence than the Average Joe due to some of the factors
previously stated. ( Out ). Some people believe that the media portrays this felony to be worse in
sports leagues than it genuinely is, but let the

quote shows how cruel the Jackboots were. Imagine yourself being in public rope around neck, no

Everyone who used the web undoubtedly have seen URL as a sight word in the internet world, and
also have used URLs to get web pages and access websites. Actually, most of people term URL as
website address habitually and think of an URL as the name of a file on the World Wide Web. If we
consider the web world as the same as the real world, then URL would be the very unique physical
address of every build on the earth that helps people to locate the accurate place. However, it is not the
entire understanding of URL. URLs could also lead to other resources on the web, such as databases

Define URL:
According to the definition of Wikipedia, URL is an acronym for Uniform Resource Locator and is a
reference (an address) to a resource that specifies its location on a computer network and a mechanism
for retrieving it on the Internet.
Generally, an URL has two major components: the first part Protocol Identifier and the second part
Resource name . The Protocol Identifier represents the name of the protocol to be used to achieve the
resource. In addition to the commonest one for web pages Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) that is
typically used to serve up hypertext documents, there are many different protocols used to access

The various local, state, and federal emergency management systems of the United States suffered a
crude awakening in the decade of the 2000s. Systems expected to hold up were put to the test and
failed to prepare for disaster, mitigate the damage, and, in some instances, actually hampered
responses in life or death situations. Worse, all failings were highlighted in an age of global
communication and mass media, on display first whether a man made incident like September 11th

failing to maintain modern emergency management practices, stimulating began a series of doctrinal

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) would become the central point of contact
within the national government in responding to incidents. Since formation in 1979, FEMA s core
missions were to enhance the government s ability to survive a foreign attack, and to assist state and
local authorities in disaster response (Carafano, 2005). And while the two core missions seem
heterogenous in scope at times from an outside perspective, the biggest difference between the two
tasks is duration. A man made disaster may be over in a matter of minutes as compared to a hurricane
lasting several days, but in both instances the road to recovery is long. In order to streamline response
and recovery in either scenario, FEMA was reorganized with new directives to support comprehensive
emergency management practices (CRS, 2006). Today, FEMA provides the standard approach and

John Adams And Abraham Lincoln
Despite the disparity in the popularity ratings between the two presidents, John Adams and Abraham
Lincoln are both indispensable figures in American history. In times of crisis, both of these men made
big, consequential decisions to keep the country from falling apart. However, while Lincoln is
commemorated for abolishing slavery and leading the Union in the Civil War, John Adams is
remembered for the mistakes of his presidency the Alien and Sedition Acts he issued that took away
certain constitutional rights endowed to the American people. Both presidents thought they were doing
what was necessary at the time to keep the United States from falling apart, but the contrasting
approaches they used left opposite impressions. This can be contributed to the fact that almost all
aspects of their lives, personal and professional, were opposite. So, while both presidents essentially
did the same thing in saving America from falling apart, their reputations are so different now because
of the way their lives and situations influenced the decisions they made.

Chronic Effects Of Chronic Kidney Disease
Background:
In 2015, chronic diseases were the leading cause of death worldwide, accounting for 63% of all deaths
(Schaepe Bergjan, 2015). Last year, the estimated prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD)
globally was between eight and sixteen percent (Schaepe Bergjan, 2015). Patients are often diagnosed
during the latter stages of CKD due to the lack of symptoms earlier on, and as a result, require dialysis
or renal transplantation to prolong or sustain their life. Unfortunately, the need for transplants is much
greater than the availability of donor kidneys leaving patients with dialysis, an artificial way of
filtering the blood, as their only option for sustaining life. Hemodialysis (HD) is typically done three
times a week ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Studies have found that patients with CKD have a lower quality of life (QOL) compared to the general
healthy population as well as those with other chronic diseases (Timmers et al., 2008). Quality of life
(QOL) can be defined as an individual s perception of self within the context of their culture and value
system in relation to their goals, expectations, standards, and concerns of daily life (Boudreau Dube,
2014). While working with patients through renal replacement therapy, nurses have the ability to
impact patient s QOL by utilizing the nursing process to promote positive outcomes through physical
assessment, the development of care plans, the implementation of nursing interventions, and the
evaluation of health care outcomes. The implementation of individualized care plans and effective
nursing interventions can be guided by simply gaining insight on the patient s perception of their QOL
(Boudreau Dube, 2014). The QOL of CKD patients receiving dialysis is especially important to
nursing due to the prevalence of the disease worldwide, the co morbidities associated with CKD, and
the likelihood of it progressing to end stage renal disease (ESRD). Dialysis patients commonly
experience physical and mental issues including, but not limited to, itching, lack of energy, loss of self
esteem, and uncertainty regarding the future (Timmers et al., 2008). Thus, the goal is to accommodate

Literature Review
Conversion of the XML Schema to Data Warehouse Schema
Introduction: eXtensible Markup Language is used mainly in most of the organizations for e
commerce and online applications. Indeed, XML has become the standard for representing,
exchanging the data among the various applications on the internet. Moreover, XML schema is used
for representing the XML document structure where XML data is associated with the XML schema.
Furthermore, data warehouse provides tools which business use the data for making the important
decisions. Correspondingly, data is stored in the fact table and multidimensional tables. Mainly, the
table association between them are generally represented with the three data warehouse schemas like
a) star schema b) fact constellation schema c) snowflake schema. Simultaneously, the use of the
internet is increasing day by day and by first integrating the data and secondly converting the data into
XML schema from the schema graph to the various data schemas. At first, schema graph is taken as
the model for the conversion of the data that is extracted from the XML schema and the data is
transformed into the various schema. Consequently, the data warehouse schema is constructed with
these fact tables, dimension tables and the relation existing between the graph and tables.
Mainly, in the data warehouse analyzing the large data helps the decision making process. Indeed, in
the data warehouse, the integration of the data from the

Bms 191011 Case Study
BMS 191011 is a maxi K channel opener [1]. Maxi K channels consist of a pore forming α subunit
and a regulatory β subunit. Maxi K channels are of a high Ca2+ sensitivity [2]. Bath application of
BMS 191011 at a concentration of 20 μM strongly reduced the calcium transients. This effect was
associated with bursts of bAPs (100 Hz) recorded from Fmr1−/y dendrites without affecting those
recorded from wild type dendrites. This treatment decreased dendritic calcium transients of Fmr1−/y
neurons to baseline levels of wild type neurons [3]. In normoxia, BMS 191011 significantly induced
cell death. This effect was indicted by the increases in propidium iodide (PI) uptake by 9.4 ± 2.4 and
16.8 ± 2.1% at 12 and 24 h treatments, respectively. At 12 h and then 24 h, the cellular [ATP] was
decreased to 83.4 ± 3.1 and further to 72.3 ± 2.8%. During hypoxia, these effects were increased by ~2
fold in all time points and measurements. PI uptake was increased to 15.1 ± 1.8 at 12 h and then 40.7

Mark Twain s The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn And The...
Mark Twain, American humorist and novelist, captured a world audience with stories of boyhood
adventure and with commentary on man s shortcomings that is humorous even while it probes, often
bitterly, the roots of human behavior. His writing, Shelley Fisher Fishkin who is one of the leading
scholars on the work of Mark Twain in American culture and literature observes, involves an entreaty
to rethink, reevaluate and reformulate the terms in which one defines both personal and national

human equality and of the dignity of self governing citizenship. Evidently at odds with so much of
established opinion, this high aim was only another reason ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In The War Prayer Twain argues against the philosophy of imperialism. This essay was written in 1900
s when America was caught up in the idea of imperialism and extending its influence to other
countries using military prowess. He reveals that praying for success in war is also praying for the
defeat of another nation. He questions what exactly the people are praying for. Even though it appears
that the people are praying for the safety of their soldiers, in the end it can be concluded that they are
praying for destruction of another civilization. But the argument does not stop here: the last line of the
essay says, It was believed afterward that the man was a lunatic, because there was no sense in what
he said (Twain, 682). After bringing forth the harm caused by war, the aged stranger is dismissed as a
lunatic. The characters sheer ignorance leads them to believe that God s messenger, who has posed
these questions, must be just an insane old man thus illuminating the public opinion in the early 90s.
The sentences in The War Prayer are lean, accelerated, cadenced, and charged with imagery. The
premise on which their authority depends in this case, that official and religious can t conceal seeds of
their abominable corollaries is self evident and irrefutable. At its core, The War Prayer

The School Age Child Is Kept On The Heart Of A Child
The Young Child is constantly withheld from many of his desires by physical restrictions. We use
baby gates, fences, locks on doors and cabinets (restricted areas), cribs, playpens, leashes, and brief
commands ( NO! YES! ). We carefully watch the young child; monitoring what he sees, where he
goes, and with whom he associates. These barriers are primarily for the purpose of protecting the child
from himself from his own desire to seek his own will prior to an age when he has knowledge, self
discipline, a fear of the Lord, or help from the Holy Spirit to resist that which is harmful to him. The
School Age Child is still in bondage under the elements of the world. Gal. 4:3 Foolishness is bound in
the heart of a child. Prov. 22:15a Having foolishness in his heart, he is likely to act the part of a fool a
fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself. Prov. 18:2 He constantly
desires to venture into the department store of the flesh. Nothing is more dangerous than allowing a
child to discover himself at this age. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked:
who can know it? Jer. 17:9 Being at the beginning of his formal training in self discipline, he is
relatively helpless at controlling his own desires; and the fleshly nature is thought to be a fascinating
friend rather than seen to contain no good thing. Rom. 7:18 As a parent, you must protect him from his
own worst enemy his flesh, and two other predatory

An Analysis Of Cold As Heaven By Judith Ortiz Cofer
Cold as Heaven Judith Ortiz Cofer s poem Cold as Heaven is a very sweet interaction between a
granddaughter and her dying grandmother. The granddaughter is the narrator. After reading the poem,
I believe the meaning of the poem is that the cold is something that the grandmother never
experienced, and the cold refers to heaven. The grandmother has not yet experienced heaven and she
is curious. In lines 25 30: When her eyes return to me, I can see she s waiting to hear more about the
purifying nature of ice, how snow makes way for a body, how you can make yourself an angel by just
lying down and waving your arms (Cofer). These lines describe winter as a place where angels are
made. It mentions that even when the snow touches you, it is a feeling of purification. This symbolizes
that heaven is a place filled with angels that purify you.
The poem consists of many different uses of figurative language in order to connect snow to death.
Cofer included the use of similes to allow the readers to make a connection to what she was saying, so
that they could grasp a better understanding. An example of a simile can be found in lines 6 7: the
Caribbean sun winds up the world like an old alarm clock (Cofer). The author is comparing two unlike
things, the sun and an alarm clock, however they have a similar connection. The Caribbean sun is
what wakes the world, just like an alarm clock does. The use of this simile adds to the poem s
meaning because it describes the life that the grandmother lives and that is warmth in her home in the
Caribbean.
There is a lot of imagery included in the poem. Throughout the poem I was able to visualize what the
author descriptively shared. The poem includes descriptions of where the grandmother lives in the
Caribbean, where the granddaughter lives with the winter weather, and how heaven looks through the
eyes of the granddaughter s comparison to winter. As I read through the poem several time, I looked
for some mention of Christianity. I found it in lines 1 2: Before there is a breeze again before the
cooling days of Lent, she may be gone (Cofer). Obviously, it is a Christian belief that when you die
you will go to heaven. I wondered how long grandma

Factors that Have a Great Impact on Academic Achievements
Class Size Reduction
Education is one of the important things in today s environment. Moreover, people are more
concerned about the literacy rate in their country compared to the past. Also, the parents want to give
their children the best possible education, and the government of the countries is also trying to provide
best education to the students because the future of a country depends on the literacy rate of that
country. There are many factors which have great influence on academic achievement such as the
education environment, the facilities available to students, and the personal life of the student.
However, nowadays countries are showing more interest in reducing the class size. It seems obvious
that smaller classes have significant influence on the academic achievement of students. The positive
influence of class size on academic achievement can be shown by circumstantial evidence, anecdotal
evidence, and research that were carried out in order to illustrate that academic achievement can be
attained through class size reduction policies.
The positive influence of class size reduction on academic achievement can be shown through
circumstantial evidence. Class size reduction is a very attractive strategy for most of the developed
American and European countries. Most of the countries have already adopted the class size reduction
policies such as United States, and many other countries are trying to adopt class reduction policies
such as Canada, Australia, and

Gender Equality And Economic Growth Essay
1. Does Gender Equality Contribute to Economic Growth? There is a long established tradition of
estimating growth models within the economics discipline. Early models took labor as a given factor
of production, exogenously determined by rates of population growth. There was very little coverage
for exploring the human, leave alone the gender, dimensions of growth in these models (Walters,
1995). This changed with the rise of endogenous growth theory and the bigger reputation given to the
accumulation of human capital in vibrant growth rates. As conclusions of this, a number of studies
have included gender dissect versions of human capital, mostly substituted by gender differences in
educational attainment, in their models. Interest in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first pathway works directly through labour markets; it relates to the productivity of labour and
the extent to which economies are making optimal use of their human resources. If ability and talents
are assumed to be evenly distributed by gender, then the failure to educate and make use of women s
ability and talent to the same extent as that of men represents market distortion, an artificial restriction
on the pool of talent available in an economy, lowering the average productivity of its human capital
(the selection distortion effect ). A second pathway is largely mediated by family relations. It relates to
the positive externalities generated by bigger gender equality on household decisions relating to
human capital determinants of growth. If women s access to education and economic opportunities is
more likely to lead to greater investments in the human capital of their children, as suggested by a
significant body of micro level evidence, some of it excerpted earlier, then it improves the
productivity of the next generation of workers, a somewhat longer term impact. Higher levels of
female education and labour force participation have also been found to be a major factor in bringing
about fertility decline which in turn reduces the dependency burden in the economy and increases the
supply of savings. Many of these effects operate through the increased negotiation power

The Carrying Capacity Of A Tourist Resource
.
The carrying caapacity studies began during the 1930 s (O Reilly, 1986; Saveriades, 2000), they were
principally developed in the 1960 s in the national parks of the United States of America (McCool and
Lime, 2001; Manning et al., 2002).The carrying capacity concept is essentially a decision making
framework informed by the regular measurement of agreed indicators of quality. The concept of
carrying capacity was derived in the early 1960 s from range management and was applied to tourism
and hospitality management. It was concluded that carrying capacity is not just one single notion but
an amalgamation of four different carrying capacities which are namely physical, Ecological
psychological and Economical. Ecological carrying capacity relates to the maximum use of a tourist
resource without causing any harm to the environment. Social carrying capacity relates to the reaction
of the local people to the tourist development of the place, which should never be negative,
Psychological carrying capacity relates to the quality of visitors satisfaction with a certain tourist
destination, which is not to be decreased; Economic carrying capacity relates to the level of acceptable
dependence between the local economy and the level of the tourist development of a place, which
should never become too heavy
The carrying capacity of any tourist destination, whether it be an historic building, a beach or a dive
site, is not a single figure that can be calculated and fixed. It is a

The Ethics Of The California Penal Code Essay
California Penal Code; 187 is very well known, refers to murder. Murder is defined as the unlawful
killing of a human being, or a fetus, with malice aforethought. Indeed, we the people like to question
every law to know the punishment. Murder has different levels accompanied with different scenarios.
Throughout this paper, I will be discussing and analyzing the following: degrees of murder, Felony
Murder Rule, and manslaughter. In the United States the degrees of murder were created by
legislatures. Pennsylvania was the first state to depart from common law in 1794, that divided murder
into first and second degree. (Samaha, pp333). The elements of common law murder are: actus reus
voluntary act of killing another person, mens rea express or implied malice aforethought,
circumstances 1. victim reasonable person or human being and 2. all person except alien enemy in
times of war, all lead to the harm (Samaha, 2015). The elements of modern law are actus reus, mens
rea, causation, death, and attendant circumstances if any. First degree murder is the only crime in
which the death penalty can be imposed, consisting of premeditated, deliberate intent to kill murders,
and felony murders. First degree has to be willfully committed meaning the intent to kill, purposely,
knowingly, and at common law a specific intent. In this degree atrocious means wicked, cruel, or
brutal and heinous means hateful. They are important terms that help define the punishment. First
degree murder

The New Testament Of Jesus Christ The Savior
Starting in the years of Jesus Christ the savior, a parable is a widely used term in the Christian
religion. A parable is known as a story mainly used in the New Testament of Christianity. The purpose
of a parable is to portray some kind of moral meaning or to teach a lesson. This is commonly done in
the New Testament with a reading from one of the Apostles. These parables, commonly found in the
scriptures were usually told by Matthew, Mark, Luke or John, four of the apostles. The main focus
was to illustrate a lesson of morals and values. A lot of these stories told in the gospel are said to be
simple, but create a visual image in the audience s head. Although they may be simple to comprehend,
the messages are very deep in meaning and are said to have a spirituality to them. Even some of the
shorter parables have been known to impact a person s morality, but not as much extremity of the
longer more in depth stories of the scriptures. One of the most known parables, by Luke 10:25 67, is
the reading of The Good Samaritan . It is very deep and thoughtful in its meaning and can be seen as
the top notch lesson in all of the scriptures. It all started by a lawyer questioning Jesus to what he
could do to be saved and earn salvation to the holy land after death, being Heaven. Jesus being the
figure he was, told the story known as The Good Samaritan and what he would have to do. He started
off by talking about a man who had been on a journey from Jerusalem to the town of

  • 2. The Narrative Logic In Silent Comedy But there is a common point exists in both their works: the exploration to the relationship between human and the increasingly mechanized society. Although it might be argued that the narrative logic in silent comedy is irrational and the gags are surreal and dreamlike, the fantasy world in slapstick comedy is more or less reflect the real society and the uncertainty as well as curiosity when people confront the new changes in their day to day life. As Bilton writes, comedy s fantastical harmlessness, its tendency to code phenomena as nonsense, its relief of anxiety via the explosive but innocuous release of laughter all these suggest the comforting panacea of entertainment. Maybe the most comfortable way for people to face the unknown is to make the uncertainty into something that can be laugh about, that is, the slapsticks. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Characteristics Of Chimpanzee Throughout the world, there are multitudes of different species between the monkey and ape families. Chimpanzees follow under the species of the great apes which consist of the common chimpanzee; that most people are familiar with. The chimpanzee lives in the dense tropical rainforest of Africa. With this is mind, chimpanzees have been made to have certain features that allows them to survive effectively within their environment. One of the essential features of chimpanzees is their size. A chimpanzee generally weighs around 70 130 lbs and reaches the height of 4 5.5ft. Along with their size, fur is also a critical feature for them to have in order to thrive. Fur covers the top of its head, back, legs, and arms but does not have fur on its face, palm of its hands, toes, feet, chest, and stomach area. It would not make sense for a chimpanzee to have hair on their face because it would interfere with their sight. They don t have hair on their palms, toes, feet, chest and stomach because they have thick, coarse fur everywhere else which is able to keep their body temperature regulated. An equally important and easily recognizable feature of a chimpanzee would be their opposable thumbs. In addition to this, chimpanzee s make up of their bodies allows them to function in their environment. For instance, chimpanzee jaws are heavy and protruding, and the canine teeth are large. Their spines are constructed in a way where they can stand up similar to a human, but they also ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. St. Ignatius Of Loyola And The Spiritual Exercises When we think about the most known spiritualities within the Christian tradition, it is common to hear the Company of Jesus, or Jesuits, as one of relevance, and which a lot people are acquainted with. People would even easily recognize St. Ignatius of Loyola, its founder, and his most important work, the Spiritual Exercises. However, when we are asked to mention Christianity s most notable mystics, names like St. Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross or St. Gertrude the Great come to light, but St. Ignatius is seldom considered. In fact, it just takes a simple internet search to notice that his name does not make it in many lists of church mystics. This work proposes to present St Ignatius of Loyola s mystical nature, and how his mysticism was the foundation of Ignatian Spirituality and its importance for The Spiritual Exercises. The term mysticism is a term that has had different connotations throughout history. According to the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, the term Mysticism comes from the Greek word that means to conceal , therefore in early Christianity it was used to refer to hidden allegorical interpretations of Scripture, for example to refer to the mystery of Jesus in the Eucharist. Later, the term began to denote, mystical theology, including direct experiences of the divine. This led philosophers to focus then, on the aspect of mystical experiences . But what is a mystical experience? Once again, the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, defines mystical experience as: A (purportedly) super sense perceptual or sub sense perceptual experience granting acquaintance of realities or states of affairs that are of a kind not accessible by way of sense perception, somatosensory modalities, or standard introspection. Others define it simply as an experience of the divine. On the other hand, St. John of the Cross describes the mystical experience, when the soul is brought into a mystical state. He says, . . . when once the soul is brought into this other state, it acts not at all with its faculties, . . . Then God communicates Himself to it passively, even as to one who has his eyes open, so that light is communicated to him passively, without his doing more than keep them open. And this ... • 6. Sailing with Vespucci Sailing with Vespucci If I were to ride aboard the ship in the age of exploration, I would choose Amerigo Vespucci. Amerigo was born in Florence, Italy on March 9, 1951. He was one of the first Europeans to believe that the land Columbus had discovered was not the Indies, but rather an entirely new continent. Because of this, the new land would be called the Americas, a feminized version of Amerigo. Amerigo was born in Florence, Italy, his parents, Ser Nastagio and Lisabetta Mini, were friends of the Medici, a very wealthy family that controlled Italy from the 1400s to 1737. When Amerigo was in his early 20s his uncle, who was the ambassador to France, sent him on a brief diplomatic mission to Paris. This trip probably sparked his fascination of travel. After that Amerigo held a number of different jobs that would teach him valuable lessons that would benefit later in his life. These included small business endeavors, being a banker, and even being involved with merchants who would supply Columbus journey across the Atlantic. On one occasion he even got to sit down with Columbus and talk to him about the new world. This conversation most likely inspired his adventures to the new world. So when Amerigo was in his 40s he decided to abandon his failing business venture and become an explorer, funded by queen Isabella of Spain, before he was too old to. It is believed that Amerigo left for his first voyage on May 10, 1497 from the port of Cadiz with a fleet of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

CONTENT My first thought about this subject was that it would be really fun and exciting because of the subject s description, Observational Child Study , where we can already experience actual child observation. Fortunately, I was right. Our professor tackled amazing topics that really served as an eyeopener. We encountered topics about the characteristics of some of the disabilities like autism, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, learning disabilities, and also, developmental delays. We even had the chance to test ourselves using the checklists or the assessment tools used for assessing children with special needs. Observation is the main point of our subject. Our professor discussed some of the tips on how to observe children in a proper way. Narrative report was also included in the process. We visit the cosy little village of Lartington and explore the sylvan valley of Deepdale Beck where a wide range of flora and fauna can be enjoyed. Barnard Castle, or Barney as it is more affection ately known, is an ancient market town. It grew up in the shadow of Bernard de Balliol s magnificent fortress, after which it is named. The castle dates from 1125 when the original timber structure was rebuilt in stone. It stands 80 feet (24m) above the river Tees and uses the natural defence of almost sheer cliffs on the west and south sides. We also pass the site of the Deepdale Viaduct, opened in 1861, to carry the railway on to Tebay. This was 740 feet (225m) in length with eleven spans across the river and it stood 161 feet (49m) above Deepdale Beck. Deepdale contains some of the richest deciduous woodland in Upper Teesdale and is a haven for birds and wild flowers. Great spotted woodpecker, robin, tree creeper and grey wagtail are often seen and, with patience, kingfisher. You may also spot the brown argus and dark green fritillary butterflies. Our path leads us back to the main road. Mieltowski SCI/151 September 27, 2010 Robert Austin Science of Stars Paper In this paper I will explain how astronomers determine the composition, temperature, speed, and rotation rate of distant objects using various methods. I will explain the properties of stars. I will also summarize the complete lifecycle of the Sun and determine where the Sun is currently in its lifecycle. Measurement of Distant Objects Light is a type of energy. Light behaves like a wave because it acts as a disturbance in the magnetic and electric field of space. Light can behave as a particle, because it sends all its energy to one place. A particle of light is called a photon. Photons can be absorbed into objects, bounce ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Properties of Stars Many physical properties of stars can be found by using a little bit of light. One property of a star is luminosity. Luminosity is the quantity of energy created in a star and then released as electromagnetic radiation. The brightness of a star is a blend of luminosity and distance of a star and can also depend on the quantity of energy absorbed in the direction of a star. Another property of a star is distance. Astronomers use parallax to establish the distance to an object. As Earth travels around the Sun, they monitor neighboring stars from various positions. They are then able to measure how much the star seems to move to establish the distance to the star. Another property of a star is temperature. By measuring the temperature of a star, scientists are able to tell how hot the star is. They use color to measure the temperature of stars. The red ones are the coolest (3,500 K), the yellow ones are warmer (5,000 to 7,000 K), the white ones are warmer still (9,000 to 15,000 K), and the blue ones are the hottest (20,000 to 50,000 K). Fallacies can be either illegitimate arguments or superfluous focuses, and are frequently recognized on the grounds that they lack evidence to support their case. He discusses how he doesn t want his children exposed to public displays of affection by same sex couples. Oregon gave out 200 marriage licenses to gay couples. Written by Walter Sosnosky, the writer shares his angry view of how he felt Officer Wilson was found guilty merely because he was a white officer and the victim was a black man. In his letter, he writes, America found Officer Wilson guilty of murdering Mr. Michael Brown based on one fact, that Officer Wilson is white. All that you have done was sent a message to all America and the world that mob justice leaves only death, destruction and more hatred. When are we as a nation going to wake up and face the fact that through unity and respect of the judicial system can we live in trust and peace. I believe that Mr. Sosnosky was making a hasty generalization. A hasty generalization is a contention that assumes all are the same, however, there are excessively few occurrences, making it impossible to backing such a case. The writer suggests that all of America found Officer Wilson guilty. That isn t possible when a jury consists of 12 people and there are over 321 million people in the United States. He also argues that a message was sent to all of America and the world that mob justice leaves only death, annihilation and further hate (Sosnosky). I believe that Mr. Sosnosky has also used two logical fallacies in one statement, a hasty generalization and a slippery slope. He made a hasty generalization when he says that a message was sent to all of America and the whole world. This simply is not possible. I am sure there are many people who are not even familiar with the case, not only in the United States, but throughout the world. In this letter, you will also find he used a slippery slope fallacy, in which Walter Sosnosky states that mob justice leaves only death, annihilation and further hate. The basic pistol qualification course has to be repeated if members allow their qualification to lapse. Qualifying on the basic pistol course repeatedly is a time consuming and costly evolution. The basic pistol qualification should be removed from the firearms re qualification standard. 2. Coast Guard policy currently requires that any pistol qualified members who have allowed their qualification to lapse, or failed to re qualify on Practical Pistol Course (PPC), must re qualify on the basic pistol course before attempting to qualify on the PPC course. A lapse of qualification is identified as not qualifying on the PPC course within 365 days of previous qualification. Failure to qualify on the Sig Saur P226DAK service pistol may be attributed to many factors. Members can fail to qualify for a number of reasons: Lack of familiarization with the weapon system due to limited opportunities to practice with the P226DAK is the leading factor. Many members will only fire with this weapons system during biannual weapons qualification. Weapon costs and rental availability at gun shops and shooting ranges in the members area make more practice and familiarity difficult at best, and nonexistent at worst. The aim of this piece will be to discuss how mechanical and or organic solidarity as discussed by Durkheim are relevant in today s society. Discussion shall surround the emergence of organic solidarity the division of society, and the emergence of apparent equality and diversity in Western society. In order to provide such an analysis this piece will draw upon academic journals, and theories to substantiate the analysis, using works from Durkheim (1984), Marx (1984, 2008), although this list is not exhaustive. Durkheim s work on the Division of Labour, according to Merton (1994) embodies many of its characteristic features , referring to the work of Comte during the Enlightenment period. Durkheim believed essentially according to Merton (1994) that morality should be questioned in order that questions surrounding social integration should be answered. It was the view of Durkheim (2008) that mechanical solidarity was based on agreed norms and beliefs located within society. Later history saw the emergence of organic solidarity as addressed by Durkheim, emerging from the existence of socialisation of individuals and differentiation. Durkheim (2008) believed that Mechanical and Organic solidarity in their basic forms related to the transition from more traditional elements of society as in Clans, tribes, and smaller underdeveloped communities towards a more complex society based on the emergence of industrialisation. From the falling watermelons to Shakespeare himself carrying a dead body across the stage, it doesn t initially make much sense, but, after reading it over a few more times an idea started to emerge. It seems that the woman is talking about a lost love. Probably her husband. She talks about how they became so lost in their lust for each other that they no longer saw the end that is inevitably coming. You can see this not only in this play but in several others such as Fool for Love and Savage/Love. In both of these plays as well you see issues that come up in relationships, including some that are quite controversial like the ideas presented in Fool for love of love between siblings Sam Shepard is a truly bold playwright that doesn t fear addressing issues that others shy away from. Banking in its modern form originated in the city states of Italy during the 1400 s. This innovation developed slowly, however, and when the American colonies were founded, banking was still not an established practice in England. A text excerpt from Banking Industry in the Salem Press Encyclopedia states that: A handful of banks operated in America during the colonial period, but these establishments were closed by the British government in the 1740 s. In order to acquire capital, farmers and business people relied on complicated chains of merchant credit. As the colonial economy diversified, the need for a banking system became paramount. Eventually America ventured away from gold and silver pieces with the adoption of the Bretton Woods system after World War II. The value of the American dollar is now decreasing exponentially. Why is the American dollar devaluation so bad? The less your currency is worth, the less goods and services you can buy with your money, the less companies make for receiving payment for goods and services, and the less people actually make when they take their paycheck home. (Hedgeable) If foreign governments decide to stop buying our debt many things will happen to the American dollar. With our interest rates decreasing to 0% there has been no incentive for foreign governments to want to buy our debts. For example, the Chinese have been buying Americans debt for years. they are currently the largest holders of the U.S. debt. If they stop purchasing our debt, their currency, and thus their economy, will go right into the toilet along with ours. • 19. Imperialism In Philippines 170140076 Natasha Schottland H Modern World History December 22, 2016 Imperialism in the Philippines For over 400 years, the Philippines has been imperialized by the Spanish and the U.S. in order to gain more power. Under their control, there have been many changes to culture, tradition, religion, and language due to heavy influence from both countries. Imperialism is a policy where a country extends its power by conquering other territories through diplomatic or military power. Imperialism is heavily driven by the rise of industry and the need for raw materials to manufacture new firearms and consumer goods. The Spanish treated the Filipinos ruthlessly, forcing taxes, labor, and seizing crops and livestock without proper compensation. The U.S. imperialization caused English to become one of the Philippines main languages, hospitals, schools, and railroad systems were established, and present day Philippine government shares similarities to U.S. government. Section 1 First colonized by the Spanish in 1521, the U.S. never had official control of the Philippines until 1899, when the U.S. won the Spanish American war. Eventually, the U.S. acquired the Philippines through the Treaty of Paris, where it states that Spain s control of the Philippine Islands will be transferred to the United States for $20,000,000. The Filipinos first viewed the conflict between Spain and the U.S. as the perfect time to break away from Spanish rule and secure an alliance with the U.S. The U.S. ... • 20. Statutory Rape Essay example Statutory Rape Laws The term statutory rape is used when the government considers people under a certain age to be unable to give consent to sex and therefore consider sexual contact with them to be a rape. The age at which individuals are considered to give consent is called the age of consent. The age of consent can ranging from thirteen to twenty one, depending on the limits set by each state in accordance with local standards of morality. Even sex that violates the age of consent laws but is neither violent nor physically forced is described as statutory rape. In most jurisdictions, the expressions under age sex or sex with a minor are more commonly used. After many years of prosecuting statutory rape laws, some people are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore, the government should create a clear differentiation between the two types of statutory rapes and then a set of clear guidelines should be constructed. The first form of statutory rape occurs when a person violently rapes an unwilling child under the age of consent, whether that person is a stranger or family member (incest). This form is defined and in some cases more serious, deserving harsher punishment than the other. The second kind of statutory rape is when a person of legally age is accused of rape, by reason of committing sexual activities with their significantly younger partner. Under this circumstance, sex with a minor , is when things are no longer only black and white. Violent rape is rape; no matter how old the victim; on the other hand under age sex gets tricky. I suppose what is problematic about the second situation is that different states have different ages of consent. For instance, in California an eighteen year old boy could technically be put in jail for having sex with his seventeen year old girlfriend, because the age of consent in California is eighteen. However, this situation would be fine if the two love birds lived in Hawaii, where the age of consent is fourteen. Is it fair that depending on the state we reside in, determines who we date? Also, is it right that an eighteen year old is wrong for having a sexual relationship with a girl who is only one year younger than ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 23. Pope Urban Viii By Gian Lorenzo Bernini Furthermore, the Triton Fountain was specially made for Pope Urban VIII Barberini by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. The fountain is placed at the center of the piazza; the fountain represents the God of Sea with anthropomorphic body and huge fish tail, kneeling on an open shell supported by the tails of four dolphins. The dolphins, leaning towards each of the four cardinal directions, open their mouths to swallow the water of the surrounding pool, telling us that they drink up all the waters of the world. The fins of the dolphins clutch the crown of Urban VIII, with papal tiara, keys of St. Peter, and Barberini bees. Triton as the subject of this fountain is a very interesting choice. According to many historical sources, Pope Urban VIII was a very talented poet, and he was very recognized for his pursuits in this field, and Triton was someone who achieved a sacred unity with nature and literature. And as we can see from the monument, the Triton was an appropriate public monument to Pope Urban s distinguished literary accomplishments. On the other hand, this explanation of the connection between Triton and Pope Urban is not effective, and unquestionably doesn t give us full information. American art historian John Beldon Scott has established that Urban was suspicious of pagan imagery for fear it might lead the faithful astray. This suggests that the Triton Fountain may imply to something more significant than just the simple literary symbol. Also, it is important to mention that at ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Maxi K channels are of a high Ca2+ sensitivity [2]. Bath application of BMS 191011 at a concentration of 20 μM strongly reduced the calcium transients. This effect was associated with bursts of bAPs (100 Hz) recorded from Fmr1−/y dendrites without affecting those recorded from wild type dendrites. This treatment decreased dendritic calcium transients of Fmr1−/y neurons to baseline levels of wild type neurons [3]. In normoxia, BMS 191011 significantly induced cell death. This effect was indicted by the increases in propidium iodide (PI) uptake by 9.4 ± 2.4 and 16.8 ± 2.1% at 12 and 24 h treatments, respectively. At 12 h and then 24 h, the cellular [ATP] was decreased to 83.4 ± 3.1 and further to 72.3 ± 2.8%. During hypoxia, these effects were increased by ~2 fold in all time points and measurements. PI uptake was increased to 15.1 ± 1.8 at 12 h and then 40.7 ± 1.7% at 24 h. Cellular [ATP] was decreased to 77.8 ± 1.9 at 12 h and then to 43.3 ± 3.4% at 24 h [4]. ... • 42. Mark Twain s The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn And The... Mark Twain, American humorist and novelist, captured a world audience with stories of boyhood adventure and with commentary on man s shortcomings that is humorous even while it probes, often bitterly, the roots of human behavior. His writing, Shelley Fisher Fishkin who is one of the leading scholars on the work of Mark Twain in American culture and literature observes, involves an entreaty to rethink, reevaluate and reformulate the terms in which one defines both personal and national identity. Twain hoped to coax us out of our timid and suspicious privacy and into recognition of human equality and of the dignity of self governing citizenship. Evidently at odds with so much of established opinion, this high aim was only another reason ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In The War Prayer Twain argues against the philosophy of imperialism. This essay was written in 1900 s when America was caught up in the idea of imperialism and extending its influence to other countries using military prowess. He reveals that praying for success in war is also praying for the defeat of another nation. He questions what exactly the people are praying for. Even though it appears that the people are praying for the safety of their soldiers, in the end it can be concluded that they are praying for destruction of another civilization. But the argument does not stop here: the last line of the essay says, It was believed afterward that the man was a lunatic, because there was no sense in what he said (Twain, 682). After bringing forth the harm caused by war, the aged stranger is dismissed as a lunatic. The characters sheer ignorance leads them to believe that God s messenger, who has posed these questions, must be just an insane old man thus illuminating the public opinion in the early 90s. The sentences in The War Prayer are lean, accelerated, cadenced, and charged with imagery. The premise on which their authority depends in this case, that official and religious can t conceal seeds of their abominable corollaries is self evident and irrefutable. • 43. The School Age Child Is Kept On The Heart Of A Child The Young Child is constantly withheld from many of his desires by physical restrictions. We use baby gates, fences, locks on doors and cabinets (restricted areas), cribs, playpens, leashes, and brief commands ( NO! YES! ). We carefully watch the young child; monitoring what he sees, where he goes, and with whom he associates. These barriers are primarily for the purpose of protecting the child from himself from his own desire to seek his own will prior to an age when he has knowledge, self discipline, a fear of the Lord, or help from the Holy Spirit to resist that which is harmful to him. The School Age Child is still in bondage under the elements of the world. Gal. 4:3 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child. Prov. 22:15a Having foolishness in his heart, he is likely to act the part of a fool a fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself. Prov. 18:2 He constantly desires to venture into the department store of the flesh. Nothing is more dangerous than allowing a child to discover himself at this age. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Jer. 17:9 Being at the beginning of his formal training in self discipline, he is relatively helpless at controlling his own desires; and the fleshly nature is thought to be a fascinating friend rather than seen to contain no good thing. • 44. An Analysis Of Cold As Heaven By Judith Ortiz Cofer Cold as Heaven Judith Ortiz Cofer s poem Cold as Heaven is a very sweet interaction between a granddaughter and her dying grandmother. The granddaughter is the narrator. After reading the poem, I believe the meaning of the poem is that the cold is something that the grandmother never experienced, and the cold refers to heaven. The grandmother has not yet experienced heaven and she is curious. In lines 25 30: When her eyes return to me, I can see she s waiting to hear more about the purifying nature of ice, how snow makes way for a body, how you can make yourself an angel by just lying down and waving your arms (Cofer). These lines describe winter as a place where angels are made. It mentions that even when the snow touches you, it is a feeling of purification. This symbolizes that heaven is a place filled with angels that purify you. The poem consists of many different uses of figurative language in order to connect snow to death. Cofer included the use of similes to allow the readers to make a connection to what she was saying, so that they could grasp a better understanding. An example of a simile can be found in lines 6 7: the Caribbean sun winds up the world like an old alarm clock (Cofer). The author is comparing two unlike things, the sun and an alarm clock, however they have a similar connection. The Caribbean sun is what wakes the world, just like an alarm clock does. The use of this simile adds to the poem s meaning because it describes the life that the grandmother lives and that is warmth in her home in the Caribbean. There is a lot of imagery included in the poem. Throughout the poem I was able to visualize what the author descriptively shared. The poem includes descriptions of where the grandmother lives in the Caribbean, where the granddaughter lives with the winter weather, and how heaven looks through the eyes of the granddaughter s comparison to winter. As I read through the poem several time, I looked for some mention of Christianity. I found it in lines 1 2: Before there is a breeze again before the cooling days of Lent, she may be gone (Cofer). Obviously, it is a Christian belief that when you die you will go to heaven. I wondered how long grandma ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Factors that Have a Great Impact on Academic Achievements Class Size Reduction Education is one of the important things in today s environment. Moreover, people are more concerned about the literacy rate in their country compared to the past. Also, the parents want to give their children the best possible education, and the government of the countries is also trying to provide best education to the students because the future of a country depends on the literacy rate of that country. There are many factors which have great influence on academic achievement such as the education environment, the facilities available to students, and the personal life of the student. However, nowadays countries are showing more interest in reducing the class size. It seems obvious that smaller classes have significant influence on the academic achievement of students. The positive influence of class size on academic achievement can be shown by circumstantial evidence, anecdotal evidence, and research that were carried out in order to illustrate that academic achievement can be attained through class size reduction policies. The positive influence of class size reduction on academic achievement can be shown through circumstantial evidence. Class size reduction is a very attractive strategy for most of the developed American and European countries. Most of the countries have already adopted the class size reduction policies such as United States, and many other countries are trying to adopt class reduction policies such as Canada, Australia, and ... • 46. Gender Equality And Economic Growth Essay 1. Does Gender Equality Contribute to Economic Growth? There is a long established tradition of estimating growth models within the economics discipline. Early models took labor as a given factor of production, exogenously determined by rates of population growth. There was very little coverage for exploring the human, leave alone the gender, dimensions of growth in these models (Walters, 1995). This changed with the rise of endogenous growth theory and the bigger reputation given to the accumulation of human capital in vibrant growth rates. As conclusions of this, a number of studies have included gender dissect versions of human capital, mostly substituted by gender differences in educational attainment, in their models. Interest in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first pathway works directly through labour markets; it relates to the productivity of labour and the extent to which economies are making optimal use of their human resources. If ability and talents are assumed to be evenly distributed by gender, then the failure to educate and make use of women s ability and talent to the same extent as that of men represents market distortion, an artificial restriction on the pool of talent available in an economy, lowering the average productivity of its human capital (the selection distortion effect ). A second pathway is largely mediated by family relations. It relates to the positive externalities generated by bigger gender equality on household decisions relating to human capital determinants of growth. If women s access to education and economic opportunities is more likely to lead to greater investments in the human capital of their children, as suggested by a significant body of micro level evidence, some of it excerpted earlier, then it improves the productivity of the next generation of workers, a somewhat longer term impact. Higher levels of female education and labour force participation have also been found to be a major factor in bringing about fertility decline which in turn reduces the dependency burden in the economy and increases the supply of savings. Many of these effects operate through the increased negotiation power ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. The Carrying Capacity Of A Tourist Resource . The carrying caapacity studies began during the 1930 s (O Reilly, 1986; Saveriades, 2000), they were principally developed in the 1960 s in the national parks of the United States of America (McCool and Lime, 2001; Manning et al., 2002).The carrying capacity concept is essentially a decision making framework informed by the regular measurement of agreed indicators of quality. The concept of carrying capacity was derived in the early 1960 s from range management and was applied to tourism and hospitality management. It was concluded that carrying capacity is not just one single notion but an amalgamation of four different carrying capacities which are namely physical, Ecological psychological and Economical. Ecological carrying capacity relates to the maximum use of a tourist resource without causing any harm to the environment. Social carrying capacity relates to the reaction of the local people to the tourist development of the place, which should never be negative, Psychological carrying capacity relates to the quality of visitors satisfaction with a certain tourist destination, which is not to be decreased; Economic carrying capacity relates to the level of acceptable dependence between the local economy and the level of the tourist development of a place, which should never become too heavy The carrying capacity of any tourist destination, whether it be an historic building, a beach or a dive site, is not a single figure that can be calculated and fixed. • 48. The Ethics Of The California Penal Code Essay California Penal Code; 187 is very well known, refers to murder. Murder is defined as the unlawful killing of a human being, or a fetus, with malice aforethought. Indeed, we the people like to question every law to know the punishment. Murder has different levels accompanied with different scenarios. Throughout this paper, I will be discussing and analyzing the following: degrees of murder, Felony Murder Rule, and manslaughter. In the United States the degrees of murder were created by legislatures. Pennsylvania was the first state to depart from common law in 1794, that divided murder into first and second degree. (Samaha, pp333). The elements of common law murder are: actus reus voluntary act of killing another person, mens rea express or implied malice aforethought, circumstances 1. victim reasonable person or human being and 2. all person except alien enemy in times of war, all lead to the harm (Samaha, 2015). The elements of modern law are actus reus, mens rea, causation, death, and attendant circumstances if any. First degree murder is the only crime in which the death penalty can be imposed, consisting of premeditated, deliberate intent to kill murders, and felony murders. First degree has to be willfully committed meaning the intent to kill, purposely, knowingly, and at common law a specific intent. In this degree atrocious means wicked, cruel, or brutal and heinous means hateful. They are important terms that help define the punishment. First degree murder ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 49. The New Testament Of Jesus Christ The Savior Starting in the years of Jesus Christ the savior, a parable is a widely used term in the Christian religion. A parable is known as a story mainly used in the New Testament of Christianity. The purpose of a parable is to portray some kind of moral meaning or to teach a lesson. This is commonly done in the New Testament with a reading from one of the Apostles. These parables, commonly found in the scriptures were usually told by Matthew, Mark, Luke or John, four of the apostles. The main focus was to illustrate a lesson of morals and values. A lot of these stories told in the gospel are said to be simple, but create a visual image in the audience s head. Although they may be simple to comprehend, the messages are very deep in meaning and are said to have a spirituality to them. Even some of the shorter parables have been known to impact a person s morality, but not as much extremity of the longer more in depth stories of the scriptures. One of the most known parables, by Luke 10:25 67, is the reading of The Good Samaritan . It is very deep and thoughtful in its meaning and can be seen as the top notch lesson in all of the scriptures. It all started by a lawyer questioning Jesus to what he could do to be saved and earn salvation to the holy land after death, being Heaven. Jesus being the figure he was, told the story known as The Good Samaritan and what he would have to do. He started off by talking about a man who had been on a journey from Jerusalem to the town of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
