Staff at the National Trust property near Shrewsbury set up a special activity trail based on the work of one of Britain's favourite children's authors.

Families can enjoy making their way around the Mile Walk, close to the hall and enjoy the winter decorations inspired by the world of Peter Rabbit and his friends.

A spokesman for Attinghtam said: "Pick up a trail pack and follow the wintery trail around the Mile Walk as you help Peter Rabbit and friends find the things they need to get through the crisp winter days"

Trail packs cost £2 and can be picked up at Visitor Reception or the Stables Shop.

Runners are also being urged to take part in the annual Jog Off Your Jumper event, a Christmas holiday favourite at Attingham.

" Usually we'd hold an organised event where visitors could sign up for a last chance to wear their Christmas jumper for a short jog in the grounds, before the Christmas holidays are over.

"Although we can’t hold it in the same way we would usually, you can still ‘Jog off Your Jumper’ after Christmas this year. Until Sunday you can enjoy a jog individually, or with your household bubble, wearing your favorite Christmas jumper to burn off the Christmas indulgences and help us raise funds to continue to care and conserve Attingham. "

"You can purchase a Run Pack from Reception for £5, which includes map and information booklet, special medal and water and enjoy a self-led jog on a choice of routes in the Deer Park. There is also a walking route."

Visitors must also book in advance to visit the hall because of Covid restrictions - visit nationaltrust.org.uk/attingham-park
