born in 1954 in Paris (France)The art of Bruno Lassalle is unaware of the rules and the hierarchies which proposes to us the ordinary one. With an astonishing freedom, it plays of the oppositions of forms and colors. It involves us in a poetic universe, whose composition and force continue by the color, contrast and rhythmic mobility, in a unified and supremely autonomous space. It transports us in a world of dream, almost unreal and yet cordial, sensual, exotic and surprisingly palpable. Its work speaks to us about the life, of the moments of happiness, tenderness, loneliness or trouble, which give a rhythm to our existence, and it seems that it speaks to us closely about us.His artwork is permanently exhibited in the following galleries: Galerie Mai (Tokyo, Japan)Galerie Epreuve dArtiste (Beirut,Lebanon)Galerie Jamault (Versailles, Paris, France)Writted by Isabelle Moller in september 1997Never it had appeared better only in its recent works, at which point the painting of Bruno Lassalle takes place in the colors and " the trade of the colors between them " (1). Starting with the most luminous dial tone, it covers the whole fabric with it. Then on this depth of initial layer, it scrapes by places, deploys color on color and, going gradually from an element of the table to another, it creates a kind of to and from of reciprocal influences, contrasts chatoyants and sets of correspondences between these forms which are expensive to him: reasons for fabrics, arabesques and volutes, imaginary interlacing of vegetation and luxuriante, body of women to the centres and knees in spiral, generous and tattooed ornaments, etc..... This radiant painting, which neither completely figurative nor is entirely abstracted, remains unclassable. Because like always at Lassalle, the primacy of the color is of command poetic and that the fragmentary details drawn from reality are based in places and spaces which, or are made purely imaginary as such by the pictorial processing to which subjects the artist. On its fabric and its paperboards ruffled, with the acrylic or the pastel, Lassalle scrambles the tracks of reality for better precipitating us in the imaginaire. It is well what fascine in these works and does not finish any alluring. All that gives to see on the fabric - reasons, scratches, folds, forms, colors... suggests without never imposing, leaving thus free course to the imagination of that which contemplates.
