      cj d Some reality in this movie's plot which kept me interested. Via television hypnosis people are lulled into a depression, the most susceptible programmed to go on holiday to the Theratos resort where individual mind control is completed, and on return to Berlin they are triggered by the channel Mater Media into committing suicide. With mass suicide throughout the city an investigating cop soon enough crosses paths with the unwitting woman whose image is used to brainwash the masses and they end the mass-madness in typical romantic couple togetherness. Reviews will no doubt focus on the exoteric negatives such as audio which at worst seems badly dubbed like some Spaghetti Western if thankfully for only a couple of scenes, the baffling mix of English spoken while set in Berlin featuring European and American actors while directed by Frenchman Claude Chabrol, and a catastrophically written and produced second act at the Theratos resort which destroyed plausible plot credibility created in the first. Where this movie shines is in its accurate portrayal of the esoteric, the likes of the fictional Mater Media for the factual representation of MM or 33 for freemasonry in our own society. Those with mushy malleable minds will find the mass suicides of Dr M's Berlin almost cartoon comical however when one understands media monopoly, satanic ritual abuse aka mkultra, hoaxes and false flags that are part of our daily lives, then this movie is a very plausible representation of real mass delusions that have caused far more order, destruction and chaos than the suicides in Chabrol's allegory.
