From the look of this study, the leaves appear to disappear but can become turgid again after a soaking: http://www.plantphysiol.org/content/127/...

This species is not what I would immediately think of as a resurrection plant as from what I recall it disappears completely from above ground. The resurrection plants I know, such as Xerophytum, have green leaves which turn purple-brown and "dead" looking and then those same leaves become green again with rain.

Oh! Just looked this up for more info & discovered it is poikilohydric - a resurrection plant! Very cool. Perhaps you could add some info to the notes?

This is fabulous Christine. New to me so thanks for the introduction.
Spottings come up as unknown unless you title them yourself, much in the same way you filled in the binomial name. I believe this space is intended for the common name but if there isn't one you could just repeat the binomial name. You can choose 'Edit Spotting' to fix this. Hope that helps.

Welcome to PN btw. I'm excited to see someone who knows their plants posting from Botswana!

Why is this listed as an unknown spotting when it has its scientific name attached?
