Ultra Street Fighter 4 coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 June 2014, PC in August

Ultra Street Fighter 4, the updated version of Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition, will launch on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in June 2014 and for Windows PC in August, according to a post on Capcom Unity.

The game will be released as a digital update in June for consoles and in August for PC. The upgrade will cost $14.99 (€14.99) on all platforms.

Digital and retail bundles for PS3 and Xbox 360 featuring the full game and all previously-released additional costumes will also be available in August. These bundles will cost $39.99 (€39.99). Because Windows PC players will have to wait longer for the full game, Capcom is also offering a discount on the PC retail and digital bundles, which include the same content as the console bundles and costs $29.99 (€29.99).

In the post, Capcom's Peter "Combofiend" Rosas states that the reasoning behind the mid-2014 staggered release dates was to ensure that Ultra Street Fighter 4 could be included in the Evolution 2014 fighting games tournament, and that participants would have enough time to practice.

"Apologies to our PC fans, as we did want to release simultaneously, but this was the only way that we could ensure that Ultra Street Fighter 4 would be included in the largest fighting game tournament in the world," Rosas wrote.

Ultra Street Fighter 4 was announced this past July during Evo 2013. The game includes a multitude of changes and updates, including tweaks to how Ultra Combos and Focus Attacks will work.
