On his way to the vineyards, he calls his dog to him - "XO". Christophe Fillioux is the fifth generation of the Fillioux family that runs Jean Fillioux with heart and soul, beard and glasses. The picturesque La Pouyade vineyard has been in the family since 1894 and remains completely independent today. It is surrounded by 25 hectares of the best sustainably grown white wine grapes. They thrive in the "Golden Triangle", the heart of Grande Champagne, in the best growing area of the Charente. Christophe, a man of pleasure, brings out the best in them: extremely flavourful cognacs appreciated all over the world.
 
We got a personal taste of the house's craftsmanship in 2021 together with Sebastian Jäger of the Wu Dram Clan and then had the extraordinary pleasure of bottling the gem Cognac Fillioux 1955. In spring, we discovered another rare time capsule: a family treasure from the 1960s-1965s with outstanding tropical exoticism, preserved for generations and united in one barrel.

The Cognac Grande Champagne was bottled at cask strength in just 330 bottles. Those who manage to get their hands on this rarity are greeted by sandalwood, peaches, mangoes and red berries and experience a delectable explosion of intense mango and sweet peach on the palate that lingers for a long time.
