CES 2024 | ASUS ROG NUC: New mini-PC packs NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 and Intel Core 9 185H within 2.5L chassis

ASUS has released various ROG-branded products today, including the ROG Phone 8 series and two new ROG Zephyrus G series laptops. Additionally, it has introduced the ROG NUC, a mini-PC that could prove to be one of the most powerful on the market, even with its compact proportions. Specifically, ASUS states that the ROG NUC measures 27 x 18 x 5 cm, which corresponds with a 2.5-litre case volume.

Nonetheless, the machine will be configurable with an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU that can reach 140 W with Dynamic Boost. In other words, the ROG NUC combines current-generation gaming laptop components, which it complements with upgradable RAM and storage. Supposedly, the mini-PC supports up to 128 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, too, which is way beyond the capacities of most modern laptops.

Likewise, the ROG NUC can output to four displays simultaneously via its DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1a, and Thunderbolt 4 ports. Moreover, ASUS includes several USB Type-A ports, Wi-Fi 6E connectivity and its Armory Crate software suite within Windows 11. Incidentally, the ROG NUC will ship with a bundled stand that will allow the mini PC to be positioned horizontally or vertically as required. Unfortunately, ASUS has not shared any details about the machine's cooling solution, nor memory options, pricing or availability.
