He was born Oct. 10, 1885, in Okinawa. Funeral services will be held today at 4 p.m. at the chapel of Honolulu Crematory and will be followed by cremation.

MR. ARAKAKI is survived by his wife, Mrs. Kame Arakaki; two sons, Ryosei and Takeo Arakaki; three daughters, Miss Agnes Yoshiko Arakaki, Mrs. Harry (Edith Kimie) Oshiro, Miss Akiko Arakaki; a -in-law, Masatada Higa, and three grandchildren. Kukui Mortuary is handling arrangements.

B. Kurosawa Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. tomorrow at Nuuanu Memorial Park Mortuary for Bansaguro Kurosawa, 1739-A 9th who died at St. Francis Hospital yesterday. The funeral services will be followed by cremation.

Wake services are scheduled this evening from 8 to 10 o'clock at the mortuary. MR. KUROSAWA was 66 years old, having been born Jan. 31, 1894, in Fukushima, Japan. He is survived by his wife, Mrs.

Tetsu Kurosawa; three sons, Tetsuo, Henry Shigeru and Lawrence Yoshio Kurosawa; seven daughters, Mrs. Hatsumo Yoshioka, Mrs. Peggy Tokiyo Uemura of Molokai, Mrs. Yoshie Nozoe, Mrs. Kiyono Iwamoto, Mrs.

Masako Bourcier, Mrs. Alice Yukiko Brown and Miss Amy Sueko Kurosawa. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Eu Kurosawa, and 14 grandchildren. L.

L. Schmitt Lloyd Lavelle Schmitt, retired member of the Board of Agriculture and Forestry, died at his home at 3719 Waialae Ave. Friday at the age of $80. Funeral services will be held over the ashes at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Williams Mortuary.

MR. SCHMITT'S wife, Rebecca, died late in May. He is survived by his sons, Lloyd A. Schmitt of Honolulu and Adair K. Schmitt of Monterey Park, and a daughter, Mrs.

Betty S. Alexander of Honolulu. Mr. Schmitt had lived in Honolulu since 1890. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War, a member of Dillingham Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and of B.P.0.E.

Hilo Lodge 759. The family requested omission of flowers. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Hawaii Heart Fund. Alice Broughton Word has been received of the death in California of Mrs. Alice Pike Broughton, leader and organizer of the Women's Christian Temperance Union chapter in Honolulu.

Mrs. Broughton, 87, died July 11 in a rest home at Claremont, Calif. She had left here in 1948 after 24 years in the Islands. MRS. BROUGHTON was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Congregational Church in addition to the WCTU.

She was born in Chelsea, Jan. 29, 1873, and prior to her marriage in 1915 worked with the American Board of Commissioners of Foreign Missions. Mrs. Broughton came to Honolulu in 1924 after the death of her husband. Among the survivors is a cousin, Gerald W.
