The Orlando home where Casey Anthony lived with her parents and near where the body of her toddler, Caylee, was found is facing foreclosure.
Nationstar Mortgage filed a foreclosure complaint against Anthony's mother, Cindy, on Nov. 4, records with the Orange County, Fla., show. The complaint claims that Cindy Anthony hasn't made a payment on the home since January 2011, and owes more than $128,000, reported the Orlando Sentinel.
Casey Anthony lived at the house with her 2-year-old daughter and her parents until 2008, when she was arrested in Caylee's disappearance and death.
Caylee's body was found in the woods near the family's residence. In a bombshell opening statement for the high-profile trial, Jose Baez, the lawyer for Casey Anthony, told jurors that Caylee had accidentally drowned in the family swimming pool, and that Casey's father, George, had put duct tape over Caylee's lifeless body to implicate his daughter in the little girl's death.
Anthony was ultimately acquitted of murder in 2011.
The family's house was frequently visited by protesters demanding Anthony's arrest after Caylee's disappearance and was flooded by media as the trial went on.
The house had also been searched by detectives, who seized some items to use as evidence during the trial.
Anthony has been in hiding since the end of her trial, emerging in a brief public appearance in March to deal with her own financial issues and popping up online in a YouTube video diary in January 2012.
This past January, Anthony filed for bankruptcy, claiming $1,000 in assets and nearly $800,000 in debt, the majority of which is owed to Baez.
Her parents have also had a number of financial problems.
In 2010, Bank of America also filed a foreclosure complaint against the couple. It was dismissed seven months later. The Orlando Sentinel reported that Capital One Bank also filed a complaint against Cindy Anthony in 2011 for breaching her credit card agreement, claiming she owed about $10,855.
A call to Cindy and George Anthony's attorney was not immediately returned.
