Starring in Hollywood blockbuster movies such as Lost in Translation (2003), Match Point (2005), Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008) and Lucy (2014), Scarlett Johansson is undoubtably one of the most famous actresses in the world.

However, the American actress has recently announced that Black Widow, the movie that she is arguably best known for, will mark the end of her time in the Marvel Universe.

In 2021, Johansson sued Disney for a breach of contract following Black Widow's simultaneous release in theatres and on Disney +.

As reported at the time, the agreement guaranteed a release exclusively in theaters and that her salary depended in part on the box office profits.

Following the lawsuit, the situation settled and Johansson seemed happy to return to the set.

"I'm incredibly proud of the work we've done together over the years and have greatly enjoyed my creative relationship with the team. I look forward to continuing our collaboration in years to come," the actress said at the time after settling her differences with Disney.

However, in an appearance on The Good Podcast, the actress revealed that she will no longer be playing Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow.

The show is hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow who plays Pepper Potts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"I'm done. Yes, I'm done... Chapter is over. I did all that I had to do. Also, coming back and playing a character again and again like that, over a decade of time, is such a unique experience," assured the American performer.

"Doing Avengers was so much fun. I was 26 years old, I was single, it was fun!"
