When it comes to the automotive trade, it should ALWAYS be about building bridges and breaking barriers 🌉💬 On Monday, I had the pleasure of meeting Tina Drayson for lunch in Guildford, and our conversation was nothing short of amazing! We delved into the heart of the matter - how we, as an industry, can collectively raise the bar and support one another and our operations. Tina has such a wealth of wisdom and experience that I left our meeting feeling like I’d only scratched the surface of all she had to offer! One thing was abundantly clear: one afternoon was simply not enough. From our shared values and goals to our vision for this industry, one afternoon was simply not enough time to discuss it all! In life, we often cross paths with people who become more than acquaintances - they become sources of inspiration and aspiration. Tina is one such person, and I look up to her success and the remarkable journey she has navigated! Tina isn’t the only one. Our interaction reminded me of the importance of fostering friendships and mutual support within our sector. It’s a reminder that, instead of competition or narrow-mindedness, collaboration and openness can lead us to the BEST results both professionally and personally. From her roles in Cox Automotive's Xtime service platform to her position as a corporate fixed operations director at Schomp dealerships, she has consistently driven growth and made a name for herself. Being recognized as a member of the 2019 Automotive News 40 Under 40 list is a testament to her dedication and expertise. What we really admire about Carol is her commitment to paying it forward and helping other women in the industry. With women accounting for two-thirds of all vehicles brought into dealerships each year, it's crucial to have diversity in key positions within auto businesses. Carol understands this and is actively working towards creating more opportunities for women in the automotive industry.
