Nantes goalkeeper Alban Lafont will be out for several weeks after being stretchered off following an incident in Sunday's 1-2 defeat to Toulouse FC.
Nantes goalkeeper Alban Lafont suffered a fractured rib and a contusion of the lungs causing a pneumothorax in the match against Toulouse on Sunday, and is expected to be out for several weeks, FC Nantes announced on Monday morning.
During the 2-1 defeat to Toulouse, Lafont hit the left-hand upright of his goal in an unsuccessful attempt to prevent Zakaria Aboukhlal's 62nd-minute equaliser. He remained conscious but was stretchered off before being taken to Nantes University Hospital for tests, which ruled out the possibility of a neck injury.
