Absolutely adored this game! It was just about playable on my 060 A1200 with a Voodoo 3 in my Mediator, which is an impressive feat. Played it all the way through. I did have an issue with one level crashing, however Hyperion support sorted it out for me by telling me how to replace a corrupted texture file.

I remember some writers in the few remaining games magazines hyping up this then-upcoming Amiga port. Very few people had PPC Amigas and only a handful of PPC games were available. Descent: Freespace promised to be a true next-gen title for people who had spent a lot of money on upgrading their outdated Amigas.
