Ellinge Slott

Ellinge was once built as a defense castle and is located by Bråån, a tributary to Lödde å (Kävlingeån). In the past, these two rivers strategically formed a line of defense for southern Skåne and next to these are also the old fortified castles Skarhult, Flyinge, Viderup, Örtofta and Borgeby.The main building of the castle is very old, possibly from the 15th century. During the 1950s, the castle underwent an extensive renovation, whereby older architectural details were utilized. The castle is still surrounded by the old moats. (Wikipedia)
