American actress Stefanie Powers was born 81 years ago as Stefania Zofya Paul in Los Angeles, California, is divorced and does not have any children.
Stefanie attended high school, where she was also a cheerleader, and later went to university and graduated. Her first big screen debut was in the 1961 movie ‘The Young Sinner’.
For the rest of the 60s and through the 70s, Powers acted in numerous films of different genres as well as guest-starred in many TV series. These include ‘Experiment in Terror’, ‘Palm Springs Weekend’, ‘The Interns’, ‘It Takes a Thief’, ‘Lancer’, ‘The Mod Squad’, ‘Kung Fu’, ‘The Six Million Dollar Man’, ‘The Bionic Woman’ etc.
Stefanie rose to fame when she interpreted the main character role of Jennifer Hart in the then-popular series ‘Hart to Hart’ alongside actor Robert Wagner. The series of 110 episodes aired for five years from 1979 until 1984. Powers reprised her role during the 90s when she starred in several episodes and TV movies of the famous series.
In the last 2 decades, Stefanie continued with her acting career and appeared in 2 films, 5 TV movies and a soap opera. She received a Sarah Siddons Award, a Steiger Award and a 9th Annual Broken Glass Award, as well as a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame category ‘Television’.
Powers is also an avid philanthropist and in 1982 founded the William Holden Wildlife Foundation. She dedicates a lot of her time helping zoos and acts as international speaker with regards to wildlife preservation.
