ProCon CD32 - Third party gamepad for the Amiga / Amiga CD32 that looks awesome

Here is something I think is rather cool and especially on a hardware level, is witchmaster's ProCon CD32; a gamepad built especially for the Amiga! Now some of you are already drooling at the mouth seeing this picture and that's probably because not only does it look like a SNES controller, but if this is a success it may be the next best thing for playing games that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to buy, ahem "Amiga CD32 Competition Pro Joypad Controller “Honey Bee” "

Bomb Jack Beer Edition - An enhanced classic WIP for the Commodore Amiga

Ah good old Bomb Jack, a game which required you the player to jump and float about grabbing all the bombs on the screen while also avoiding some rather strange yet nasty enemies who would constantly get in your way just to stop you from saving historic places of interest! It was a fabulous game for all the family, going right back to the days of the Arcades and lots of ports to follow such as the Amiga, which sadly was not as good as it could've been, at least until now... Welcome to Bomb Jack Beer Edition; an enhanced WIP Bomb Jack for the Commodore Amiga!

Ziriax 100% (Ultimate Edition) - The only full Amiga working version that exists!

In 1990 Software Business with development by The Whiz Kidz, released the side-scrolling shoot em up Ziriax for the Amiga, which was very similar to games such as R-Type or even Gradius. This game featured an action packed experience with five stages of shoot em up gameplay with each level containing an end of level boss. It's just a shame that during its many years of release not only was there not a fully working ADF of the game but according to some it has a few in game issues of its own...

Gotek Floppy Emulator - Say goodbye Floppy Drive, there's a new king in town!

Through all these years I've always been a purist when it comes to loading games on an Amiga. It just had to be via a floppy drive as that adds to the nostalgia from when I was a child. The problem however came about weeks ago when during its last load, the floppy drive was dead and working disks were becoming hard to track down.... Thus I had to move with the times. Welcome to the Gotek Floppy Emulator; a hardware device that allows you to use USB memory sticks to load floppy files, on not just an Amiga, but an Atari, Amstrad and many others!

The Commodore Story - New trailer released!

Back in April last year, Wavem studios successfully ended their kickstarter campaign to fund "The Commodore Story", smashing their target of £17,500 by nearly triple. An ambitious project to chart the rise and fall of Commodore in book, documentary film and chiptune CD form, looks to be a worthy addition to tell the story of Commodore. Thankfully while we wait we've already had a promised video diary of clips of interviews that will go into the final film. Now with a final edit that has taken place with preview screenings, we welcome the official trailer that has been released in preparation of the final release. And it's a cracker...

DamienD's WinUAE Collection - A MASSIVE Amiga haul of playable games using WinUAE Amiga emulator!

DamienD is no stranger to the Amiga community, as through 2017 he had released many Amiga CD to Hard Drive conversions that enabled us to play those classic games without the need for the CD. Games such as Code name Hell Squad, Wasted Dreams, and T-zer0 to name but a few. But this time he has excelled himself, as instead of doing a conversion he has released the DamienD's WinUAE Collection; a massive pack of games through 12 years or more of work, which enables YOU the gamer, to play over 11GB of games already set up through the latest edition of the Amiga emulator WinUAE.

Retaliate - Roku Shoot 'em up remake previewed for the C64

Blasting our way through January and already more games are coming out for the C64, as just a hint of what's to come through the rest of 2018. Hunter - Action/Adventure classic that's well worth playing!

Let's go back in time, right back to 1991 when Activsion released 'Hunter' for the Amiga and Atari ST. An action-adventure game that by today's view point would be classed as a Battlefield 4, Grand Theft Auto and Far Cry mix. Expansive, open worlds, a military theme, and the focus on small squads of soldiers or lone heroes. A high grade 3D game with sandbox-type game play, developed by Paul Holmes and music by Martin Walker. If you remember the title, you'll be very pleased to know that Gamesnostalgia's latest edition to its download and play on PC list is Hunter!

Scourge of the Underkind - Teaser trailer for a fab upcoming Amiga game!

During 2016 and into 2017 Wayne Ashworth and Magnus had been developing a new game called ' Scourge of the Underkind ' for 1 Meg OCS Amiga's and above. It was shown off many times as a rather wicked looking top down arcade action game with coin and key collection that is very similar to that classic game Chaos Engine. Well after a good few months of silence the creators have gone all out, as not only are they now known as Eleventh Hour Games, but the game now features a whole new engine, which according to them allows for a full-screen gaming experience!

1942 Mini - A Shoot em up classic, mini remade in Amiga AMOS

In 1984 a great shoot em up was released for the Arcade by Capcom and that game was 1942. A game in which you shoot down enemy planes, avoided being shot out of the sky and performed awesome rolls while collecting power ups. One of the more unusual power ups was being escorted by two other planes in formation that gave you the edge. It was an awesome game and still is today, but the news of right now is, Amiten has released a 1942 Mini Demo for the Amiga, which was made in AMOS.

It is incredible to think that the original Sid Meier's retro gaming hit of 'Pirates!', from way back in the late 80's can still be played today and enjoyed by people of all ages. It had you sailing your very own ship such as a fast sloop, capturing other ships, looking for treasure, sword fighting on deck, and marrying a rather pretty lady! In fact it was a highly addictive game that appeared on the Amiga, Amiga CD32, Apple II/IIGS, Atari ST, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC and many others. So if you want to play this game right now without setting any emulators up, here's the Amiga version ready to be launched on a home PC!
