Ultimate Fighters CD32 SX32 - The best fighting compilation for the Amiga CD32 by far

What a top class exclusive IRN release to wake up to, as Earok has contacted me for possibly his last great Amiga CD32 unofficial compilation. As a soft-retirement due to him moving over to commercial Amiga game development and overhauls as part of PixelGlass/Reimagine Games (See Giana Sisters Special Edition ), he has now released The Ultimate Fighters [CD32] [SX32] unofficial Amiga CD32 compilation pack. This is, in his words, the largest themed collection the site has ever produced, 40 fighting games across numerous different styles.

Shadow Warrior - MS-DOS FPS making its way on to the Amiga

Another great heads up by Solo Kazuki is the MS-DOS first person shooter ' Shadow Warrior ', which is being ported over to the Amiga by Modern Vintage Gamer. Originally developed by 3D Realms and published by GT Interactive back in 1997, Shadow Warrior had an improved engine from the one used in Duke Nukem 3D and featured 3D voxels instead of 2D sprites, usable inventory items, and violent head slicing katanas, Uzi's and many more to make this a bloody fine game! - The sequel is good too.

The Internet Archive adds over 10,365 Amiga titles to its ever growing list!

Way back in 2014 we mentioned some of the best websites to play classic retro systems online. Systems such as the CPC, NES, MSX and loads more were completely playable directly through your browser. One such site called "The Archive" had a massive game list from the 1970's through to the 1990's, all emulated in JSMAME containing hundreds of games ranging through many different genres and styles. Well they've just added another system to the library as they've now added 10,365 Amiga titles, all runnable in some form in your browser! Do note however because of copyright issues? Only 1,351 games are actually available and some are just demos!

UPDATE :

After a beta-testing period, the emulated Amiga programs at the Archive have been taken down for further development.

Giana Sisters Special Edition - Giana Sisters overhauled on the Amiga by Reimagine Games [UPDATE]

Over these past months we've been giving you the heads up for the unofficial platformer overhaul of ' The Great Giana Sisters ', which is now known as ' Giana Sisters Special Edition '. Well you'll be pleased to know that after all our write ups about this Mario style game ;) the remastered version has finally been released! This latest Giana Special Edition takes the original and rare Amiga game from 1987 and puts it through a modern DS blender, with new graphics, op quality sound effects and much more to drool over!

Pang - A fantastic Amiga game playable on the PC and MAC

In 1989 the Mitchell Corporation released the top of its class Arcade game ' Pang ', which was later ported over to a multitude of systems by Ocean including the C64, Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum Amiga, MS-DOS and Atari ST. In this up to two player game you had to destroy bouncing balloons terrorizing global landscapes, but had to be really careful as most of them when shot split off into smaller but even more balloons! Now thanks to our friends GamesNostalgia they have packaged the game up with FS-UAE/WinUAE and made it playable in a single runnable file for PC and Mac.

Center Court 2 - Unreleased Amiga game is found and finally released

A bit of a late one this and one not to be missed, as after being informed by DamienD, we have learnt of an old Amiga game called ' Center Court 2 ' that was originally unreleased, is now available to the public. This Amiga game was actually authored by SecondService in the late 90's and had remained in an unfinished state on a harddrive that had become defective. Thanks to a member by the name of Python1 and eggman who then had the hard drive in their possession, the game was finally rescued from its corrupt state on the 9th of July.

Duangle 2015 Intro - Amiga cracktro parody on a Pico-8!

There's something to be said about cracktro's and scene demo's, there's nothing more enjoyable than seeing waves of text, moving objects and upbeat tunes from a bunch of users showing off their creative talent on an old retro system. One such cracktro for mention wasn't developed on the Amiga however, but is actually a parody of one and was created on the Pico-8, as paniq has said for the " Duangle 2015 Intro " : This is kind of a parody of old amiga cracktros from a parallel universe, where duangle is a demoscene group, and so are all the people in the greetings!

So head on over to the Pico-8 site and check it out, it's rather cool ( Link )

Ghosts'n Goblins - Classic Arcade Amiga platformer crack fixed by Flashtro

In 1985 Capcom released the historic game Ghosts 'n Goblins for the Arcades, which was later released over the years on several other platforms such as the Amiga, Amstrad and C64. It was the first game in the Ghosts 'n Goblins franchise where the player controls a knight, named Sir Arthur, who must defeat zombies, ogres, demons, cyclops, dragons and other monsters in order to rescue Princess Prin Prin. Well that same game has once again re-appeared, but this time as an Amiga crack fixed and trainered Flashtro release!

All this in the name of work to give your family a financial living

Sounds of the Amiga 4 - Triad loves the Amiga in this C64 music collection

Throughout the years we have always featured either C64 tunes or Aaron White's C64 conversions on the Amiga. However what we have here is the best of both worlds, as Triad has released the fourth music collection on the C64 called 'Sounds of the Amiga #4 '. In all 8 tracks are available to listen to as SID goodness, such as Microtune 2, Eyewash Josh, Thexder, Introtune, Antipasti40, Chrillroom, Do you wanna? and Endtheme. What a great start to a Monday morning, as after a personal request of ours, Gamesnostalgia has made available the kick ass Amiga platformer ' Ruff N Tumble ', which has been re-packaged for both PC and Mac. First released for the Amiga by Renegade in 1994 and developed by Wunderkind, Ruff N tumble is one of the finest action packed platforming Amiga games you'll ever play. Giana Sisters Special Edition - Enhanced edition for the Amiga gets new screenshots!

Way back in 1987 a platformer was released that had huge similarities to Mario, an alleged lawsuit with Nintendo, a great soundtrack and was available on multiple platforms including both the Amiga and C64. It was none other than the Great Giana Sisters, a game which if you had in your possession right now, would probably be able to sell for a rather high price! So if you remember that game, you'll be pleased to know that the previously mentioned ' Giana Sisters Special Edition ', which is an enhanced unofficial version of the original Amiga game, has been teased again with new screenshots and info.

Cannon Fodder - The best War game on the Amiga play it now PC/MAC Gamers!

No words can describe just how amazing this game is, there isn't that many people on this planet right now that haven't heard of Cannon Fodder. A military game with a sense of humor and a cool music soundtrack to boot!  If you love controlling armies of little men, that you care so much about, while shooting the bad guys in a splattering of blood, then this is the game for you. Furthermore apart from the lackluster PC versions which is available to buy on GOG, and the cool Amiga CD32 compilations, you can now play the Amiga-PC/MAC playable release which was just packed together recently by GamesNostalgia pre-configured using FS-UAE!

AGONY - Amiga classic by Psygnosis gets an unofficial Remake made in UE4

In 1992, Psygnosis with development by Art & Magic, released the gorgeous owl flying shoot em up of AGONY, for the Amiga system. It was a very impressive game for its time using features such as scales of colors done with raster lines, halfbrite graphics mode for the between-level pictures, three layers of parallax scrolling using dual-playfield mode, in-game palette swapping, and continuous flashing of the background palette to simulate additional colors (Wiki). It was such a good game that a creator by the name of Ozan Temelli has done an unofficial UE4 remake for the PC!

BLOCKY SKIES - Top quality homebrew appears on the Amiga!

Usually when a brand new homebrew game comes out, we are the first to know about it, but ' Blocky Skies ' developed by Enable Software Pty Ltd for the Amiga, took us completely by surprise. A game that was announced via our Commodore Amiga Facebook group as a top down arcade puzzler, stars a rather unusual character that must follow multi directional lines to reach the finish line. Along the way he must collect coins, avoid enemies and try not to go off the path, because if he does, he will fall a very long way!
