Sarah Michelle Gellar is reprising her role as Kathryn Merteuil in NBC's Cruel Intentions pilot.It was reported earlier on in the month that the Buffy actress had been approached by the network, but Gellar officially confirmed her involvement today on her Instagram account.The Cruel Intentions series will offer a "modern spin" on the 1999 movie, which starred Gellar, Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillippe and Selma Blair. Original writer/director Roger Kumble is on board to direct the pilot episode, and will co-write the show alongside Lindsey Rosin and Jordan Ross.
