Didn't work with cover on panel
I had the old version of this interlock on my panel Siemens G3030B1150(CU) type 1.
I bought this new version so I could use the 2 spare breakers that were covered up by the original.
It worked fine until we put the cover panel back on. There wasn't enough clearance to move sliders and they got jammed with the main power off. The only way we could get it to work was to snip cover between the main breaker and the rest. Do I need a different cover?

This Interlock Kit is excellent. Siemens technical support replies quickly to questions posed in the Home Depot site - confirmed this was the correct kit for my Murray branded panel. This Interlock has been re-designed and no longer requires removal of the two adjacent circuit breakers (to right of the Standby breaker). I used to to ensure a safe installation to back-feed my generator power into my main panel via a 30 amp double pole breaker. The interlock snaps into place very easily. Be sure to read the instructions. Access to the terminal screws on the interlocked breakers is limited after you snap this into place. So install your wires to the generator power run before you install this item.

Great product. Much cheaper then a transfer box. Had to modify it to not loose two circuit breakers that are to the right of this interlock kit. Previous buyer had pictures and instructions on how to do modify it. That was a great help!

Works as intended. Easy mod to use spaces to the right.
This interlock does exactly what it is supposed to do and is very easy to install. One complaint by several reviewers is that with the interlock in place, the two breaker slots to the right can not be used. This is true, however it can easily be modified to allow full use of all breaker slots in your panel. See the attached pictures for details on how to make this simple modification...

Standby Power Interlock Kit for siemons distribution box
The Interlock kit was very easy to install and fit perfectly. I would recommend this as an easy and safe way to prevent back feed. Picture shown includes breaker which is not included in purchase.

The interlock installed easily. The only problem I had, was that with the tab down when the main breaker is still on, prevented removal of electrical panel cover. I was not interested in turning off the main breaker every time I had to remove the panel, so I cut the panel to clear the interlock tab for the main breaker to eliminate this problem.

Make sure this is the one you need by looking at the compatible accessories listed on panel door label. There are at least 11 different interlock kits sold by Siemens.
Not as easy as you’d think it should be to install.

This did not fit my new Siemens 200A load center....
This did not fit my new Siemens 200A load center. The spacing was wrong for the breakers. There is probably another product (not carried by Home Depot) that will work, but the description for this one led me to think it would work.

didnt fit right whatsoever
Had to modify this unit to fit properly. Wasnt impressed. Siemens product in a siemens panel and it didnt fit as it should. Sad

This Standby Power Interlock did not fit. There was...
This Standby Power Interlock did not fit. There was not 1 and 1/4 inch space between 200 Amp Main Breaker Disconnect and Generator 2 pole breaker. It missed by 3/8 of an Inch. This is unacceptable. I purchased an Eaton 200 Amp Panel and a Standby Power Interlock. This outside cover is predrilled for the Interlock. Also there is a video on U Tube to illustrate installation. Frank L.
