Echo's new GT-225L string trimmer takes the popular features of the straight-shaft SRM-225 and the curved-shaft GT-225 to offer what the company calls the ultimate in curved-shaft trimmers.
For those preferring curved shaft trimmers, the GT-225L with a 55” shaft is 7” longer than the GT-225 and 3” longer than today’s GT-230 providing extended reach for more comfortable trimming and access to hard-to-reach places. It has the same GT left hand grip which can easily adjust and rotate for operator comfort and edging. It uses the same shield with 16” cutting swath, and the same ball bearing supported trimmer head for heavy duty, long lasting durability.
From its straight shaft SRM-225 cousin, come some of ECHO’s best-selling trimmer features. The GT-225L uses the same 21.2cc power head with vibration-reduction engine mount for increased user comfort and all day operation, but it’s 0.8 lbs lighter than the SRM-225. It uses the popular Speed-Feed® 400 head which reloads in seconds without disassembly. And, the same SRM-225 over-molded right-hand grip provides a comfortable contoured feel. The 1-30™ reduces pulling effort by 30%.
The best feature of the new design, however, is its selling price. The GT-225L is priced $20 lower than the SRM-225 at $199.99 MSRP. It comes with ECHO’s standard five year consumer warranty and two year commercial warranty.
