Joe Mantegna doesn't always post about his family, but he just made an exception that has everyone's hearts completely full.

In a post uploaded on the Criminal Minds: Evolution star's Twitter profile, he shared that he was celebrating the birthday of his late mother-in-law Marie. While Joe did acknowledge that he couldn't physically commemorate the occasion with her, he did express his gratitude by penning a romantic tribute to his wife Arlene Vrhel, writing how much he cherished the years they've spent together.

"As today is my late mother-in-law’s birthday there is no gift I can send her," he wrote on August 10. "However I can thank her for the gift of her daughter, for the wife and mother she is and continues to be over the 50 years we’ve been together. Happy Birthday Marie. Love, Joey."

"Beautiful sentiments, sir xx," one person wrote on Twitter. "Man that's so lovely. Blessings to you both and continued happiness in each others company," another chimed in. "Would you have a talk with my hubby?? 🤣," a different follower added.

As some people may know, Joe and Arlene first began dating in 1969 after meeting in high school. After privately exchanging vows in Paris, the couple wed in 1975 and later welcomed daughters Mia and Gia.

Although he's known to be discreet when it comes to discussing his private life, the Tony Award winner did use social media to mark a special milestone in his close to 5-year marriage. Posting a throwback photo of the two from the early days of their romance on Facebook in April 2020, he used the moment to commemorate being married for 45 years.

"#TBT Italy 1975 with my beautiful wife Arlene," he wrote at the time.

Needless to say, Joe is proving to us he's the epitome of husband goals. And should Arlene ever decide to pop up in the background of a Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2 episode, we wouldn't mind at all.
