Rafael Santos Borré likely to leave Eintracht Frankfurt this summer

Kicker reports that Eintracht Frankfurt striker Rafael Santos Borré is likely to leave the club this summer.

The Colombian was left out of Frankfurt’s pre-season friendly against Vitesse Arnhem alongside Djibril Sow who is also likely to leave the club this summer. It has previously been reported that Borré has been unhappy with his game time this season at Frankfurt.

Borré has attracted interest from Lyon in France and Olympiacos in Greece, with both clubs vying to sign the 27-year-old.

Borré joined Frankfurt in 2021 on a free transfer from River Plate and after a decent first season in Frankfurt where he was crucial in the club’s Europa League triumph the arrival of Randal Kolo Muani at Frankfurt has meant his game time has significantly reduced.

Most of his appearances last season came off of the bench and only started most games at the end of the season due to an injury to Jesper Lindstrøm.
