Green station of the Tarn, the village of Trébas takes place about thirty kilometers from Albi, on the banks of the Tarn. It is located in the Massif Central, on the edge of the department of Aveyron.
The town takes its name from the term Trebacium, the place of the huts, derived from the Gallic Trebo which designates the place where one lives. Roman coins found on the spot testify to the rich past of the village of Trébas which developed in the Middle Ages in the form of a barony. In the first half of the nineteenth century, the curative virtues on the skin diseases of the village springs are recognized, and the city then becomes Trébas-les-Bains. The activity was halted following the fire at the spa in the early 1980s.
Today, Trébas continues to attract visitors with the charm of its natural setting as well as its important sporting and cultural activity.
