Anubias barteri var. 'nana' is a smaller variety and the most well known of all Anubias varieties. It is a short, bushy variety, which is very tolerant of almost any condition in the aquarium. Commonly called Anubias 'nana', it readily attaches to driftwood or rocks.  In fact, the rhizome of Anubias 'nana' will creep along almost any structure. There are several forms of Anubias 'nana' being sold in the trade all with slightly different characteristics. Anubias 'nana' is one of the most popular aquarium plants in the aquatic plant trade. It can be used in terrariums as well as aquariums and even will tolerate the harsh conditions of Cichlid tanks.
