Origin: Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.
Altitude: Around 5200-5600 feet above sea level.
Habitat: Chihuahuan Desert. Plant in a very porous, mostly mineral soil mix in a pot with good drainage. Water regularly from spring to autumn only after soil has dried. Feed with a quarter-strength, high potassium fertilizer in summer. It is cold-hardy to 25°F for short periods if soil is kept dry. Requires full sun with some light shade.

Germination of cactus seeds is about timing, temperature, quality of seeds, cleanliness, and establishing a technique for sowing. Some species have a higher germination rate, and/or a lower germination time than others. For that reason a specific success rate can't be guaranteed . If you are having trouble getting any of your seeds to germinate, please let me know.
