I was nervous at first having read some of the negative reviews, but I got lucky and mine works GREAT! Sharp and no ghost lines! At first nothing appeared, but I unplugged and replugged while trying to get it as flush with the back of the PS2 as possible. My hardware: -Playstation 2 original Big and fat, with network adapter and hard drive bay (no hard drive installed) -Magnavox LCD TFT active matrix 42MF230A: might be one of the first ever non-CRT tv's ever (manufactured 2005)... No HDMI plugs, only Component, DVI, S-video, RCA (default for PS2 and blurry a bit),

The price of this cable is undeniably cheap, so not surprisingly it isn't perfect. The physical feel of the cable isn't bad, not as substantial as other component cables, but not terrible. The plug on the console end fits very tightly into my ps2, but does fit. In regards to the signal quality, this cable is a noticeable if not great improvement over standard composite cables. The picture is definitely clearer on my 720p CRT tv. I've seen complaints about audio buzzing, I don't have that issue. The big issue I have is noticeable video noise (static) scrolling up the screen. The darker the picture, the more noticeable it is as well as on static images like menu screens, not so much during gameplay. For the price I can live with it easily enough.

Plugged it in for a PS2 and it worked for about a half hour. I turned off the machine and left it alone for several hours and came back turned it on and no longer works. I can hear audio but the video source flashes on/off the screen rapidly. Ports on the TV work fine (they were never used before this.) I plugged the old RCA cables back and these work fine so it's not the machine. The cables are defective. I would not recommend these to anyone. Just spend a few extra dollars and you can find some better quality ones for around $10.

I bought this cable for my PS2, because my rather old composite (3 cable) video cable was starting to have some sporadic issues. The plug itself is a really tight fit, and I had to make sure I was plugging it in correctly before forcing it in, but it does plug in and once it's in it works perfectly. Yes it's a cheap knockoff, but it's a video cable, as long as it plugs in and works fine then brand doesn't matter. This cable checks both boxes, so I'd happily recommend this to someone looking to get a better video cable for their PS2 (or other compatible console).

Was skeptical this would work since I ordered another similar one on eBay and did not work as designed. But this one worked perfectly and improved the picture immensely on my Samsung Smart TV. I definitely recommend this if you are planning on improving the picture quality of your PS2 on a modern TV. You do need a converter if your TV does not have component plugs. Which it probably doesn’t if you have a newer model TV.
